Red pill is a far more marketable title for the film. No one would give any serious coverage to a documentary called the Men's Right Movement MRA. Someone who sees the Red Pill title who doesn't know anything about the manosphere will be intrigued to learn more Anything labeled MRA will get a reflexive mysogny label in the mainstream.
Not sure if it was that calculated. Cassie Jaye focused most of her film on Paul Elam and A Voice For Men and people she met through Elam and his site.
He has been using the Red Pill as a metaphor for years, and she probably just got it from him, not realizing that all sorts of people on the internet claim it as their own.
