OP, some people (like me) function better at a high starch high fiber diet due to serotonin production in the gut. When I stop eating carbs I get depressed and it doesn't resolve. Try low carb, and try high starch / fiber. See what works best.

Anyway: read "mans search for meaning". This is the book to read to find out what you want and what is the meaning of your life. Maybe find a logo therapist in your country who can consult through Skype and do a few sessions (no more then a few). Don't get a diagnosis for psychiatric illness, unless issues persist after you found a job, girlfriend, social circle and have started working out. Not saying you should do all those four things: first read the book I recommended you. It's about how to determine what has meaning to you. When you know what you want, come back here and read all the how-to's that friendly members posted for you.
