The First Nations here in Vancouver have been 'given' land worth almost $5 billion.
Yeah, $5 BILLION.
Hectares of ocean front and hilltop located in the two most prestigious and expensive neighborhoods in Canada, so therefore the world. Houses in these neighborhoods start at $5 million and go to $50 million, easy.
Yet a lot of these bands still show up to protests about how the white man is oppressing them. In fairness, a lot of the Indians I have worked with in the past have been very economically focused and know they need to leave the victim mentality behind, but they are certainly overshadowed by the noisy entitled ones who show up at every business meeting with their hand out. Of course with the MSM in tow, who are their biggest champions.
