I think going abroad is just a good way to reset yourself, you don't have to go to some slut haven like Thailand, I think most major cities is good. It's all about embracing the new atmosphere for me, traveling always get me out of a rut, I get a lot more energy and less self conscious, you should bring some of that experience back with you to your hometown I would think.
