Like I have posted before, only men complain about "overdressing" usually it's because it's financial constraints/budgets or just plain laziness.
I've never heard of any women refer to any man, anywhere as "overdressed" when dressed GQ, but then again, I don't go to dive bars/pubs or rock and roll bars. I go to cool-lounge joints, and when I walk on the beach picking up women I still dress GQ, not in a suit of course, but definitely stylish.
Only time I wear cargo shorts is when I am in the jungle looking for the remaining Crystal skull in ancient mayan temples.
