Soon going on a week long road trip to Kansas. Basically because of the Novelty factor - have never been there before and want to see Dodge City. Of course will check out the Boot Hill Museum - the Wild West replica as it is the only landmark I know. Also plan to follow the Santa Fe Trail.
Want to see with my own whether the State sucks as badly as people tend to say as no one out here ever goes there, but many people from Kansas come out West.
Will stop at Goodland and then Dodge and the rest (Wicihita, Topeka and Kansas City)are all optional will depend on whether I find any venues or prospects of quality.
Anyone ever been to Kansas? If so, any recommendations? Favorite bars, hot spots, landmarks, etc?
