Look at how many of the top-selling female romance novels feature rape or 'domination' fantasies. In fact some of the romance novels of the 1970s and before featured full-on rape; in the plots the woman actually "hoped" the male would rape her so she should have sex with him while still preserving her chastity.
You would think that with sexuality and mating being such a core aspect of human behavior that there would be more academic studies on the various kinks and fetishes that occur out there in the sexual market place. However, it appears that there really isn't. I suspect it's because it's too politically sensitive a topic for social scientists.
One female sexologist I read about (I don't remember her name but I think she worked at a Canadian university) said that after a study of hers found that a majority of women had rape fantasies, she received death threats and was not invited to present her study results at a conference as usual.
The one thing I've yet to see however is an erotic romance novel featuring a vegan, Birkenstock-wearing, male social justice warrior. Most women would fantasize about being raped by Charles Manson or Adolf Hitler before fantasizing about consensual sex with the former, lol
It's like some prudish, ultraconservative Christian men pretending that men never masturbate or have any 'lustful thoughts' about anyone other than their wife.
In the "Story of O" and many from the same time the female after becoming sub for a dominant male she would be require to recruit other females, the dom therefore builds a harem.
Many romance novels implement the idea of taking a women with a particular set of belief and becoming a sub for a man with a complete opposite belief.
Force pregnancy and birth were the climax of romance novels back then, because the cultural change in the West that is not longer so open, but Japanese Anime porn has grown in popularity with women because as animation they are able to do things that in real life would be difficult, there is a term in in Anime porn called "fucked until they love you", a dominant males will rape a female under his power (doctor-nurse, CEO-secretary) until the point where she loves him endless.
What 50 Shades of Grey has done is taken old form of romance novels that reveal women desire for domination and submission and camouflage them the banner of "embrace their sexuality" because "she is the one in control".
Is a great marketing strategy for good money.

I suspect that most of the dudes with a cuckold fetish feel their woman is somehow beyond their league or else feel that somehow she is beyond them, and that's why they're so turned on by seeing her banged by more dominant dudes. I doubt that in most cases they choose some SJW, low-T, dipshit to bang their wives. That's why, even though it may seem at first to support the feminist narrative, why social scientists, who are predominantly Marxists, haven't published any studies on it, because it supports red pill philosophy.
And that's the reason why most of the guys in this forum can't relate, because we're the ones who do the fucking, not getting fucked.
I guess it has to do with what scorpion said, porn addiction has leads to a dysfunctional generation of men.
Men are visual animals, just 50-60 years ago seeing a tit was a glorious day to remember, now every man has a 24/7 visual simulation for sexual gratification in their hands sorted by categories, this is not normal, men are not supposed to have an infinite amount of stimulation available because reduce their desire to improve human interaction with actual women.
You think porn is hard? wait when sex robot become a normal thing.
