You can't really lose weight rapidly, that type of change is too drastic for the body to adapt to. Rapid fat loss increase will blood cholesterol levels to increase the risk of Cardiovascular Arterial Disease, which means you will have heart attack. You have to focus on diet first and then exercise.

Cut down on fast food and start making your own meals. There are recipes in the Weightlifting & Fitness forum you can start with. As for diet, you can use the slow carb diet. Just follow the rules on this blog post by Tim Ferris:Slow Carb Diet

As MiscBrah, said do cardio after lifting weight. For weight lifting, you can follow a 5x5 system to help gain muscle and track your progress. Make sure you get trainer first, to show you how to do some exercises to ensure proper form. If you do not want to do that, go on youtube and search for Starting Strength videos with Mark Riptoe to show you proper form in doing lifts.
