I have sold my euro government bonds (made an ok profit on them).
I want to purchase the following:
1) gold, both SPDR gold shares which tracks the gold price and mutual funds that invest in gold (and other precious metal) mining and processing companies.
Mainly because I have read that most large hedge funds and investment banks have a strong bearish outlook and are mainly taking short positions and positions in gold. (and I think it's not a good idea to take a short position with my lack of knowledge and experience);
2) shares in mutual funds that invest in large, stable, dividend paying companies such as VDAIX.
3) REITS for my own country (where I have a decent view of the real estate market).
Am I making any large mistakes with this approach?
