Correct. This style of cut (not always a buzz-cut, but a high & tight with a bush-ranger beard) also tends to be the calling card of hipster faggots world-wide - even if it does provide them with a modicum of masculinity compared to any other style.
It's also not only niche in terms of look and head/face-shape, but isn't practical for a lot of guys working in corporate/professional fields.
Watermelon salesmen like Drake (elevated arms as pictured) - it kind of adds to the whole poseur/gangster image, so no doubt it's working for him.
Like anything I guess, don't pander to fashion just because everyone else is jumping on the bandwagon, but rather, exploit your strengths and tailor your look in accordance with what works best personally.
