Perhaps it's not ADD? Maybe you have an active brain, and require more challenges in life than what you are presented with. Its like the guy who says, "I need 8 hours of sleep", simply because he was told 8 hours would make him function better. Do you really believe that?
I've tried out every other alternative. When I have supplemented with natural elements that deal with scatterbrain, I have responded very favourably.
When you take this "supplement" do you focus more in general, or do you procrastinate less depending on the task?
I think focusing more and procrastinating less. I find it easier to focus on important tasks instead of dilly dallying browsing aimlessly.
Even when I find myself drifting off into distraction, I am able to consciously recognise it and more readily pull myself back into the task at hand.
For instance, sometimes if I am reading a particularly informative book or pdf, if the ideas are very interesting to me, I become infused with energy and I jump up and start pacing instead of letting the information flow through more readily.
I am less impulsive but consequently less creative. My more creative pieces comes when I am in scatterbrain mode.
