When I was reading it, it actually made me realise something about why I don't actually have a relationship with a bunch of liberal guys I play in a band with. It's the insincere, exclamation mark thing you pointed out.

A lot of people are like this in real life as well, it's a weird form of politeness. You can never get past small talk with them because they are always talking like that.

For example:

'Oh Hey Red Pill! How are you? '

Yeah not bad, thanks.

That's great! So did you have a good time doing that thing you said you were going to do?'

'Yeah it was good..'

I kind of pick up on the fake happiness, and over excitement, and the conversation never goes anywhere as we can't relate to each other.

In the text conversation you're doing it, and she starts talking back in the 'insincerely happy and excited because I'm talking to a stranger' way you are.

"It's just how some people talk to a stranger I guess! You'll learn! "
