I'm not buying this "genuine connection" stuff. Pretty sure I can induce that feeling in a fair amount of people, but if they've only known me for less than a day, how can they know my real personality? This goes doubly so when a guy is good looking, due to the influence of the halo effect.
This is why I'm suspicious of her LTR capability. It's not that I'm not LTR material myself, it's that I might not be and she just gave up the bulk of her hand without really anything to show for it.
Remember what Patrice O'neal said, "men audition on the front end for sex, women audition on the back end for commitment."
Even though in reality I might be perfect LTR material myself, she has absolutely no way to know that and no way to know if I'm even interested in an LTR with her, and it is precisely this lack of discretion that causes me to doubt her worth.
Edit: Full disclosure, I don't SNL much, so that may have influenced my thinking. It's conceivable that the "male hamster" will want to say SNL chicks aren't LTR material if the guy in question doesn't SNL much, as a form of "sour grapes."
