Depending upon where you go boating you could actually probably fit a lot more than 12 people. If your off the Chicago skyline in Lake Michigan your somewhat limited but if you go to a lake where they have a Sandbar where everyone hangs out normally about half the people are off the boat playing that Frisbee beer on a stick game or floating on a raft. I guess even on Lake Michigan you could bring out a couple big tubes and bring a few extra people.
