I went for a gay coworkers birthday once; gay guys can be good wingmen. They at least love to encourage you to approach. They have a don't give a fuck attitude which helps. As long as you're not uncomfortable around gay guys they will leave you to your own generally. I've seen straight guys who are uncomfortable get torchered because some gay guys like to fuck with them and make them uncomfortable with excessive PDA, like they smell blood in the water. That night I approached 3 sexy women who I thought were with guys (presumably gay friends) but when I got closer they politely informed me they were with their girlfriend ( who looked like guys). I wasn't expecting that but oh well, live and learn. Seeing the 6'7" 300 lb dude dressed in a French maid outfit was something else though. I think he was a bouncer...
