Best place to get the Russian visa for an American? - exitus - 11-22-2018

I'm pretty sure I want to hit Russia at some point so I want to get my Visa lined up...I'm currently in Poland (Krakow) and I'm not sure if I can get it here. I'm going to New York in a month and I know I can get it done there but I'm curious if there's more redtape/if it's more pricey.


Anyone have any experience getting it?

Online I read any Russian Diplomatic Mission can handle it. In practice I don't know if that's true but if it is practically every country in the world has them (even some unrecognized countries).
