I am freely submitting the below as the new slogan and rallying cry for the male resistance:

"NO RINGS, NO WEDDINGS"

It has the added benefit of undermining the corrupt gold and diamond markets, as well as challenging and upsetting the very core of feminine entitlement.

While catchier, your slogan still implies that we will indeed continue to reward virgins with luchre.

And to follow up on Extinguished Light's theme, nowhere did I proclaim "No Marriage," as marriage undoubtedly remains the optimal precondition for raising children.

But by doing away with the shiny status symbol that is so tied to female vanity and the transactional taint of dowries and vassalage, we strike a blow for clear-eyed pragmatism over compulsion and fantasy.

Don't get me started on weddings...

Amen, brother. I got married in a judge's office. Several family members were in attendance. The "wedding" was at an Inn with several more family members. We told people about one week before. Pissed some people off, sure.

As for rings, I don't wear one. My wife wears her grandmothers. She knew there was no chance I was paying for a ring. Of course, she didn't care about that or the small "wedding", which is one reason we're married in the first place.

Ha. If the point of the OP's post was not to get married, then yeah, joke on. In my simple married mind I see a difference between no wedding and no marriage.
