I think my phone was stolen but I still can't believe it - SteezeySteve - 07-29-2017

So i need my phone for some my side hustles (personal training and boat cleaning) but i think it got stolen so this should be an interesting hurdle that comes up right as im gaining some momentum with everything.

I started running game on this girl at a house party who looked really small so i started teasing her about her age and got a really warm response but a really passive aggressive vibe from this dude who turned out to be her boy friend. Im dding for the night and as were trying to get the fuck out of this place because the cops are busting it my partner pulls a fast one and recruits that couple plus some other dude to join us for the ride to the next party in my wheels. In the rush to get out of the area i drop my phone under my seat. Meanwhile this boyfreind dude starts bitching at me for driving reckless because he has illegal drugs and is paranoid about being searched by cops.

I role up to a seven eleven to get a pack of smokes and some gass because i was stressed out and expected a long boring night ahead of me. while im gone this boyfriend kid is sitting in my drivers seat begging me to drive so that he doesnt get caught with his illegal possessions because he trusts his driving more. It took me a minute to realize i had to relate to this moron and bust out the heavy dealing with irrational moron moves ala dale carnegie style to get this chump out of my drivers seat. When we get to the next place i look under the seat for my phone and its gone.

I had this weird realization though that my game my have been so tight that the chick stole it to get my number without her boyfriend knowing, because she insisted on calling it when i was asking for someone to. I swear it had to have been her because i made them all get out of the car lined up,searched their pockets, searched their bags, searched the car to make sure they didn't stow it away, and she was wearing one of those jumpsuit thingys (for you guys who aren't keen on white hoe fashion its basically a one peice bikini with jean shorts over it) that i could imagine being easy to slip on there. The frisking had me come up empty handed though, but it felt pretty dope to herd those assholes like cattle. I should have made them stripp but at the time i thought the pockets and bags were thorough enough

I mean these are middle class white kids who know 10x more about that iphone shit than i do and i realized that an iphone is just gonna be bricked and unuseable really quickly so i cant see someone stealing it for profit. Is the idea that this lil chick stole it to get my number wishfull thinking or have you guys heard of crazy girls pulling some stunt like this?

My game so tight, bitches be stealing my phone to get my number

I predict that this thread will not go in the direction the OP was hoping for.

She wanted ops number so bad she had to keep the phone so she could use it herself.

Any ideas for recourse?
Im thinking about showing up to each of their houses looking for it...approach their parents and go the legit route or isolate and interrogate boyfriend till he fesses up? I feel like the best option would be to do this infront of her to make her want to fess up if she did it but that complicates things. My passenger who knew them is the local kid whos buddy buddy with everyone so setting them up / finding out where they live wouldn't be hard as long as i get him on board.
I already have a rope in the car for candid pullups and sled drags, grappling experience, and might be able to get an extra set of cuffs from a family member whos a cop with a combination of luck and selling the idea right.

Don't bother with any interrogation.

Just go up to every potential suspect and do this:

Then search their places for your Iphone.

One word for you: waterboarding.

I don't see that going well. "Hey parents I was DD'ing your most likely underage children and their illegal drugs to house parties and I think they stole my phone."

Don't let people you don't know in your car is only lesson here. Don't let someone with illegal drugs or paraphernalia in car if you are not willing to go down for it. I have an acquaintance who lost medical license for a short period of time because a co-worker shoved heroin under seat as they were getting stopped. Eventually she got the license back but it messed up her life for several months and all she was doing was giving co-worker a ride to work for a day.

Zelscorption that would work if they all had their own places.

911 If this comes to fruition I was thinking that water boarding might have to occur to achieve results

Bummer I see your point. Parental involvement would be of no use.
Yeah im not letting randoms in my car ever again. My next car is gonna be a two seater so mother fuckers wont even be able to ask.

Just get another $100-200 phone. Showing up to people's houses and beating them with phone books will get you arrested. $150 is a good price to stay out of jail. It might not be a galaxy/iPhone but you said it was your second phone anyway. I have 3 phones and quite frankly my galaxy is not much better than my $100 phone, and my burner was only $20.

It's an iPhone? Is Find My iPhone (or similar app) enabled?
https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201472

If not:
Quote:Quote:

If you didn't turn on Find My iPhone before your device was lost or stolen, you can't use it to locate your device. However, you can use these steps to help protect your data:
1.Change your Apple ID password. By changing your Apple ID password you can prevent anyone from accessing your iCloud data or using other services (such as iMessage or iTunes) from your missing device.
2.Change the passwords for other internet accounts on your device. This could include email accounts, Facebook, or Twitter.
3.Report your lost or stolen device to local law enforcement. Law enforcement might request the serial number of your device. Find your device serial number.
4.Report your lost or stolen device to your wireless carrier. Your carrier can disable the account, preventing phone calls, texts, and data use.

If I was riding in somebody's car and they lost their phone and wanted to frisk me, I'd fucking kick the shit out of them. I would literally throw them on the ground and just stomp on their stomachs until they vomited. Dale Carnegie or not. And I a lot more calm in my old age, but frisking pushes it.

You lost your phone. Get over it. Maybe check with the seven eleven and see if you left it on the counter. If not, quit this.

And no, the girl did not steal your phone be cause she wanted to call you. If she had stolen your car, would you say it was because she wanted to give myou a ride?

Use your head buddy.

Aloha!

I agree, the frisk stuff is over the top.

We should act civilized. I just wand everyone who gets in and out of my car.

Did you try calling your phone, with one of the suspects phones, before the frisking?

Yeah.

And I tore the entire front seat appart looking for it and it was absolutely not there. $500 is a decent chunk of change as a young broke kid on the grind. The only reason i went in debt over a dumb phone is because its an investment...idk about you guys but these days if you want to take your hustles anywhere having a nice phone helps for image and convenience . Now if you're talking normal calling, and texting lil mis cutie from the bar who gives a fuck but its something that I literally need. Bear in mind In addition to the phone I lost a personal training client / bombshell blonde who is down to be friends with benefits...and im now unable to cantact this dude who's boat I clean so i have to waste my time going down to the dock to see if this dude's there.

Honestly anyone who wouldn't take the authority and command over the situation to stop and frisk them is a fucking pussy through and through. If any one of us were personally in that situation we would sit there and go along with it....unless you were guilty..other wise whats the issue? If you know how to create a commanding prescence, use tone of voice, body language and create enough fear in people (without creating to much fear) its gonna go down smoothly with no problems... Quite frankly i take full responsibility for the frisking being unsuccessful because i should have taken his illegal stuff, started getting physical, and no one would have done shit I missed out on the opportunity to get it back and will admit I did the right thing 50% then dipped out for the other half instead of seeing it all the way through.

If you searched the car for the phone and were 100% percent sure it was not there what would you do? Walk away with your head down, and shoulders slumped in defeat or walk away knowing you did your best to find the culprit but came up empty handed?

I think my phone was stolen but I still can't believe it - Suits - 07-29-2017

As ridiculous as it sounds, I'm not going to waste my time disputing the suggestion that a smartphone is an "investment" or that having one is going to make the difference between failure and success for OP.

No, I'm not going to do that.

Instead I'm going to point out how absurdly people treat their smartphones. If I was carrying a wallet with $500 cash in it, would I casually toss it under the driver's seat of my car with strangers sitting just inches away?

OP is just another one of those people who desperately wants to own the newest fad, and therefore invents reasons to justify the purchase.

i.e.

Yes, your boat cleaning clients are going to kick you to the curb and go hire someone else if you show up to work with anything less than a mop, a Swiffer and the newest iPhone 7.

You're cleaning boats and personal training, no-one is going to care which phone you own. If your hustle was making iPhone apps that would be a different story, but you get the same functionality from an old cheap phone as you do the latest.

In the future, if you have important business contacts, or info you don't want to get lost, back it up somewhere else. As you've found out, if you have it in one place, as soon as something happens to that device you're screwed. Phones can get stolen, dropped in water or just die.

If that's the case, you're calling yourself a pussy. You let your friend invite people into your car, you then let these people ride with you, even after knowing they had illegal drugs. From the start you had no authority or command.

If I didn't steal the phone I would have an issue with someone wanting to frisk me. Unless they're wearing a uniform and carrying a firearm, not going to happen. I suspect they went along with it because they didn't want to further antagonize an angry crazy person.

In real life this isn't going to work out anywhere near to how you imagine it. You need to be thinking a few steps into the future.

Maybe the phone was stolen, maybe you dropped it somewhere, maybe you left it at 7-11. Whatever it is, you're unlikely to get it back. Chalk it up as a loss and learn from your mistakes.

Moving forward:
1. Buy another phone, there's no need for it to be the latest
2. Turn on the find my phone feature, both Android and iPhone have this
3. Keep important data in at least one other place, (pen and paper can be a great solution)

Ps. I'm pretty sure that Zelcorpion's suggestion was a joke

I think my phone was stolen but I still can't believe it - SteezeySteve - 07-29-2017

If i have to look something up,call text, look up a tutorial on how to fix something, how to do a stretch, google maps to find a place etc I can attest to the fact that as someone who has owned a variety of phones that the latest and greatest with phones offers less issues, bugs, and is faster than whatever cheap android phone you can under 200 from craigs list. Obviously not essential but lets be real here and respect the fact that phones can be an investment depending on what you do.
I really dont give a fuck about what little miss daddy bought me a micheal khors fucking purse to match my shoes or some fuck boi whos game consists of a 45,000 truck his parents bought him to look cool; yeah a phone has a bit of a status symbol connotation to it but its not like the benefits are real....it pretty much makes you like every other chump who sold their sole to the apple corporation. Nobodies getting pussy or business based off their phone but altogether these days its a finishing detail; when we anylize it from a status/ looks perspective its like having a watch; don't nobody give a fuck but on its own but in combination with the right clothes its a nice little finishing touch. Now if you're talking money wise maybe its not something thats important to you but for some it is; If your only using it for facebook bar whores and tinder then its kinda like whipping out a razor blade in a
street fight (effective but kinda over kill).

Yeah i get we're all anti consumerism but sometimes we all get blinded by ideologies. When someone has a good product props are due...i'd rather not deal with the annoying hassles and bugs associated with cheap phones....Especially when we're talking long term use. If you buy a phone thats already years old its not gonna run smooth for ever which means you'll have to use your time money, and energy to get a new one, move data, activate it etc sooner vs buying the top of the line product slapping a $50 dollar case on that sucker and not having to deal with all that for a while.(hopefully)

If all your phone is only being used for is calling and texting yeah there is no reason to have a smart phone...if you don't need gps,or information asap sometimes fuck it you're honestly better off with a durable piece of shit flip phone.

I think my phone was stolen but I still can't believe it - worldwidetraveler - 07-29-2017
