Johnston&Murphy
All-favorite shoe brand. Under $200 for mostly everything. I have too many pairs of these already. Long lasting and stylish.

Ah, my bad. I don't know of any casual loafers that look like that.

Pierre Cardin. When you decide to get some Ferragamos, invest in some shoe trees also. I got 2 pairs now

Very good brand but a bit pricey:
TOD's (i own one pair and they are the best shoes ive ever had. cost around 400€, got them indiscount for 240.)
Very good brand, but cheap:
Bexley (i own two pairs of chelsea boots. very high quality for the price I paid. 100€ per each pair)

Another couple good brands are Allen Edmonds and Fluchos. Though they tend slightly higher than your budget, I have found them on sale for that range.
Another thing to consider are whether the shoes can be resoled by a cobbler or not. Resoling a higher end pair of shoes once comes out to about the same as two pairs of lower end shoes.
If you're going to be wearing these type of shoes daily, taking a long view approach of money vs quality and having 2-3 pairs, alternating each day between pairs and using cedar shoe trees can allow well made shoes to last a long time. Can build up such a wardrobe over time.
Finally ensure that they are kept clean and shoe cream is applied as needed (look/feel them and use your judgement) to keep them looking good and well maintained.
Try to avoid wearing them in shitty weather (like salt/snow) if you live in such an area, usually professional culture accepts wearing boots and switching at the office in such a place.

HIGHLY Recommend TOD's -- Been wearing them for years. Great brand. Still pricey but look and made like they are 3X the price.
I've always been into fashion, since I was in middle school basically. It's best to stray away from the crowd and not buy/wear the brands that everyone else wears. TOD's is a perfect example. Super stylish, unique, classic looking shoes and still not a very well known brand, yet.
I'd trade these for Gucci or Prada loafers ANY DAY -- Why look like everyone else trying to look cool when you can look neutral, with dope style that people are curious about without looking like all the other posers? Winner every time.
