NYC business trip logistics.....with a dog. - Easy_C - 07-08-2015

Hey everyone!

I've got a bit of an unusual situation. I just got an invitation to attend a veterans events at a major NYC firm (won't specify the exact company, but it's a household name financial institution) this month. It's an all day event located in midtown. No problem, right?

The catch is that the date coincides with when I need to move to begin my graduate degree.....so I'm going to have to hit NYC en-route from my current place of residence to my school. This means that I'm going to be carrying a full load to include a wife, a bunch of stuff, and most importantly I will be transporting firearms and a dog.

"Firearms" is an important piece of the logistical puzzle. Because I will be transporting them in my vehicle this means that I can not drive into the city without risking imprisonment by the People's Republic of New York. I have to find a way to keep my car outside the city, with my dog unattended for 14 hours, and do it in a way that allows me to be in midtown by about 8 AM (giving myself some time to spare).

Any suggestions? Also I will be coming in from the direction of Philly.
