"Do you remember my name?" - redonion - 02-05-2014

I've been getting this one frequently enough that I thought it was worth discussing. I'm getting it during night game, usually about 30-60mins into the interaction when I'm trying to close.

How do you guys answer this? I feel like spitting out her name is playing into her frame and gives off a pedestalizing vibe of "How could I ever forget?"

I know this is a small sample but there's two instances I can recall where I actually forgot her name and blurted out my best guess, which happened to be incorrect. In one instance I got the bang and in the other we were making out 5 minutes later.

I'm thinking about going with something obviously incorrect/ridiculous next time, like "It's Cleopatra, right?". Either that or an eyebrow raise/smirk with a "really?" expression.

It's a shit-test to rationalize her hamster. At that point in the night, she already knows whether she's going to fuck you or not, so it's her way of reaffirming in her mind that she's not a slut and won't be a pump and dump.

Eyebrow raise and smirk are solid. Also going with an outlandish name can work too.

I forget girls names within seconds of meeting them, simply because I don't care and have gotten this question countless times. I can't even remember the names of half the girls I've banged, hell more like 2/3 now that I think about it.

Me : Ofcourse I do....... ( wait 4 seconds or so), Laquieshaaa.

I posted something a while back on the best answers to this question:

Option 1: turn the tables by saying you bet she doesn't even remember your name

And now for my secret weapon

Option 2: 'I know this is shitty to bring up but I've struggled with dyslexia my entire life and names are really difficult for me. I hope this isn't a deal breaker or anything?'

You can even go further by telling her if you see the name written down you'll remember it better by then asking for her number.

I pick the name of someone famous she "looks like" and just use that. They don't really have to look like them, but they like to hear it anyway.

Classic shit-test. Her next question will probably be "what colour are my eyes?"

If you want to call her BS, just ask something like: "And what's the square root of 3572?"

If you do remember her name be sure to ask "what's my prize for answering correctly?" Pause ...say her name... Then lean in for some tonsel hockey

I always forget girls' names because I just couldn't care less. Like at all. In 2-sets and above, I just call everyone 'Debbie' (in Japan, Yuuka).

I'd just be honest about it. Say 'Yes' or 'no', depending on how it is.

I honestly struggle with names and faces. It's nothing cruel, but most people don't make blips on my radar.

When I meet someone, I always say their name back to them.

"Hi Frenchie!"

"Hey, I don't think we've met before."

"My name is Sha-naynay!"

"Well hello there Sha-naynay, my name is Frenchie.."

I do this when I'm gaming too. If the question comes up as a shit test. Try your best to pass this one. You can get extra credit by saying, "What's my name BACKWARDS!" or "What's my name and the capital of X state".

Either way, remember the name.

One of my biggest blowouts in recent history was because I jokingly said a name that wasn't her name and she stopped talking to ke then and there and walked away looking very pissed off!

Sooo I wouldn't do that

"Do you remember my name?" - Handsome Creepy Eel - 02-11-2014

I fell for this multiple times. It's a huge shit test and you have to go in well-armed. Say a name that's not hers. For example, if she is called Jessica, say:

"Of course, it's Gabby."

DO NOT ADD "I'm joking, your name is Jessica" at the end to soften it!

If she feels like the type that needs an extra dose of game, instead go with the nuclear option:

"Of course, it's James."

When she hits you with this, your instinctive response will be to comfort her and guarantee to her that she means something to you. Do not do this. It's a trap. I lost at least 2 bangs because of that. Proceed at your own peril.

I ask them the question first.

Come to think of it the 4 second delay isn't necessary and could come of as beta.
