Hey guys -

I am thinking about creating a private torrent website (think demonoid) for a niche type of content. Does anybody have any experience with creating torrent search engines and what are some issues that could arise? If somebody can offer some help I have many specific questions.

Isn't Demonoid a public site? There are several torrent site frameworks that don't need you to create it from scratch.
e.g. http://whatcd.github.io/Gazelle/ http://sourceforge.net/projects/tbdevnet/

Do your market research. The biggest problems are people, not technology. The same issues pop up everywhere, mainly leechers vs. seeds, moderation, spam etc. The amount of drama on tracker sites is mindblowing, especially when money's involved.
