I thought this was cool. Sort of in the vein of Guitar Hero but using an any electric guitar, you can learn to play popular songs with a PC, Xbox 360 or PS3. You also learn how to tune the instrument as well. I hope in the future they have one for learning spanish guitar, since that is both treble and bass on one guitar.

I've been watching the Betcha can't play this series.

I never had any of this this stuff when I was learning to play. Just a boombox and a cassette tape

Talk about reinventing the wheel.

I remember getting tabs from the net via FTP back in the early 90's, and printing them out on dot matrix printers.

It's best that tuning should be done by tuning forks to develop your ear, and electronic tuners go for what... $5-$10 from pawn shops?

Then I look at the screen shots, I can see some people developing some bad dependencies there.

There are cheap or free programs such as guitar pro which do all of this, without paying plenty in sony or microsoft royalties.
