Outdoor Full Color LED Signs. - DVY - 04-02-2013

I am based out of LA (aka the land of never-ending permits), and contemplating to upgrade the existing roof sign to a full-color digital one. Its a fairly decent sized sign- 5ft x 10ft...doublesided. I've been calling around and the quotes are obscene.

Other facts- its on a major street w/lots of traffic.

Any thoughts or experiences? Pitfalls?

I know LA has been cracking down on digital billboards lately. what general area, that has a lot to do with it.
