Is your ride beta? Let me decide - el mechanico - 03-01-2013

I mentioned on the LA vs NYC thread that I have to drive about every car made and I test them in a small walking tourist area near my work.

I gauge the reaction of the women walking while I'm driving of all ages so I'm going to run down what they seem to like but first lets go over what you guys drive and I'll tell you what kind of reaction I've gotten..

1996 Toyota Tercel

-broken door handle
-needs a new motor mount
-light inside doesn't work
-has dents all over
-passenger side light is fucked up
-needs a new fender
-huge dent on the side light
-squeeks everytime the driver side door opens
-dirty on the outside
-over 200k miles on it
-interior transmission light fixture doesn't work
-needs a new EGR valve
-something tells me my tranny isn't 100%


Um, yeah, I guess you can say I'm not overcompensating for anything.

GTO one of the most alpha rides ever made unless it's a convert and a bright color like orange or yellow. Also not properly restored = Gay, beta

Yeah, i know. It's stock in the common gray color even. That's why the first time a girl is getting in my car I say "Welcome to the gangsta car!" and talk about how I'm going to get rims. Always gets a laugh. They still joke about a guy like me driving a car like that because it's so incongruent though
