What Is On Your Travel Docket For 2013? - thegmanifesto - 01-01-2013

I spent New Years Eve, like I always do; planning and scheming for the New Year, while the rest of the world is partying on the worst night of the year.

I doing the opposite of what "regular" people do, and New Years is no different. Part of the planning is figuring out where I want to travel in the coming year.

Here is what I am thinking:

New Orleans (this one is soon)

Peru
Morocco
Montreal
NYC
Spain (haven't decided where)
Playa Del Carmen
Charleston, SC

Also contenders:

Poland
Bulgaria
Romania
Colombia

Also, I really want to hit up some Caribbean Island. Any one have any suggestions?

What do your guys dockets look like?

I am looking to hit trinidad carnival in february but im not 100% sure if im still going there.

Later in the year im probably fucking with:

Cuba
Jamaica
NY in august (this one is a must)
And maybe colombia (cali and cartagena)

If i get that canadian work visa, then i will be in the oil field for the rest of the year.

My travel plans are Colombia, Costa Rica and Thailand this year. I will be in Colombia for 3 weeks starting January 15th. Costa Rica in the middle of March and the week of July 4th. And off to Thailand in December. I might make a second trip to Colombia in September.

New York City x2 is everything I've got planned right now.
Last year was wild so there's nothing right now that really really tempts me. As mentioned in the "change of Brazil" thread I've lost faith in southern America which leaves me searching for a new PP.

Short trip to Olso.

Then a long journey to the woodshed, where I hope to figure out how to get my bankroll on that G Manifesto level.

Dominican Republic on the 15th first time

Brazil is the main contender, I'm hitting the Portuguese hard now to make sure it's good for when I go.

I also think Poland is on the radar to get my first taste of Eastern Europe.

What Is On Your Travel Docket For 2013? - Joga Bonito - 01-01-2013

This will be my first year of major travel. I plan on going to Yacht Week in Croatia and Italy to visit a friend in the Navy. I'm hoping to touch other parts of Europe(cost permitting) when I get to Italy like Spain and France. Besides that I'll probably be doing extended weekend road trips to San Fran, Minneapolis, Vegas and New York throughout the year.

What Is On Your Travel Docket For 2013? - Hencredible Casanova - 01-01-2013

Going to be getting it in this year. I've been to all of the spots on G's post except Charleston, SC (I'm in Playa this week). Those are all good picks btw. As for Carib island, I'll be going to Saint-Marteen. Btwn, the Dutch and French sides of the island you got all bases covered. It's expensive but if you're looking to land high-end European chicks on vacay mode, can't lose. If you're looking for an anything goes fuckfest though, can't beat DR. I'll be heading there soon.

I'm also going to Barcelona later this month, as well as Scottsdale.

Funny you say that, it was thinking of going to Saint-Marteen.

My biz partner was there in 2012. I dug it, although he went with his girl and her fam.

Which side do you recommend? Which month is best?

Any other data you have on the spot?

A lot of my friends have been as well. I haven't yet. They say the Dutch side is where it goes down because it's practically an extension of the Netherlands. Same policy about drugs and prostitution.

Best time to visit there or anywhere else in the Carib in terms of busy season is actually North American/European winter. Our summer is low season for the Caribbean which is when prices are lower but hurricane risk is higher and crowds are smaller. Depends on what you're looking for.

If you're looking to really get it in with the high end scene, you might want to peep St. Barts which is a French territory. 15-minute flight from St. Marteen or 45-min ferry ride. That's where the yacht/celebrity/jetsetter crowd parlay.

I'll report boots on the ground intel after I go. Playa data sheet coming next week.

I take it that you have already done the Dominican Republic. As far another Caribbean island, Saint Martin/Sint Maarteen is a great choice. I forget which side as all the folks bothering you to buy trips and stuff but the other side has almost none of that.

Plus the butt-naked beaches are a help.

DR is that spot. Look forward to going back. A lot of guys seem to doubt the attractiveness of Dominicanas. I can understand because you have many of the ones in New York/Jersey that are overweight and ugly for the most part. DR is nothing like that though. There is some superb talent in Santo Domingo and I haven't even been to Santiago which I hear is the mecca of talent for the island. I'm sure Punta Cana also has some moves. Combine that with the undeniably more DTF nature of the women compared to Colombia or Brazil, it's hard to find a place in Latin America that gives you more bang for the buck.

Looking forward to Israel, and then Morocco right after. Wanted to hit Jamaica, doubt it'll happen though. DR I hear is amazing.

Yes, Santiago has the talent of the island. Even on the online dating sites (Badoo, DomCupid) which I don't like to totally trust, you can see the difference in talent when you type in "Santiago" as opposed to "Puerto Plata". Granted, Puerto Plata is closer to "pro-central" Sosua and those Puerto Plata chicks may be beaten down more to lower their "attractiveness points", still Santiago has the sheer numbers.

Santiago's only issue is that there is no beach there and really no real nice hotels (except for a couple).

Don't have much bread but I got a plan to hit these places up Spring Break.
West Palm Beach
Clearwater Flawda

Guys rave about Sosua. But isn't it pretty much all pay for play over there?

Not going to be a traveling year for me. Gonna be too busy making scratch and trying to expand some new business ventures. Probably the farthest I'll go all year will be Chicago.

Nice.

This should help you with Playa Del Carmen, Mexico Restaurant and Nightclub Data Sheet

http://www.thegmanifesto.com/2012/10/pla...sheet.html

The info on the forum is outdated and fools were spelling the names wrong of places, so the forum stuff will steer you wrong.

I know Qwest and Internationalswagger leaned on my Data before they went and had a great time.

Am I reading this correctly? You're skipping over Miami in 2013?

Yes, Sosua is mostly P4P. What Sosua has going for it is has and outside club/bar scene, hotels that do not hassle you about bringing women, and has a beach....and close to both towns Puerto Plata and Cabarete who have even better beaches and golf courses. Add to that Cabarete is a vibrant party town (not as much P4P). Sosua has stores, restaurants to make it a "weekend warriors" dream because everything is within arms-reach.

Before you think...."hey, I'll get me a non-pro and go party in Sosua", you may have to convince her. Because of Sosua's P4P reputation, a true non-pro chick may be hesitant to goto Sosua with you for fear of being labeled.

But that is small stuff.
