Modern attention whoring at its lowest? - TheMan - 12-22-2012

Woman calling herself "queenvagina" steals photo from facebook and posts it with fake story about her father who died from cancer all for imaginary internet points.
Fortunately she was called out by someone who actually knows the people in the photo in real life

...this shit is getting out of hand

I see your Queenvagina post, and raise you Reddit Gone Wild, where women (and some men) seek imaginary points and quick hits of validation in return for potentially wrecking their future career prospects.

My own reaction when I first heard of it;

1) Only a young American woman could think that posting naked pictures of yourself online for 'internet points' is a good idea.

2) For fucking real, 'Reddit Gone Wild'? At least the girls who (in almost equal foolishness) did the 'Girls Gone Wild' videos netted some cash for their poor decision-making (and if they didn't, they were drunk or on drugs when they showed their tits and rubbed their bits).

3) ...Actually a lot of the pictures aren't that bad...

4) But wait...this is Reddit; sure, they have a 'verification' system (similar in effect to the forum's meetups and 'pics of girls you've banged'), and not many are verified...I think I'll adopt a mentality of 'sad fatty who uploads pics from tumblr or Google searches and says that they're her until not proven to be a sad fatty who uploads pics from tumble or Google searches and says they're her.'

5) Who fucking jerks it to images anymore? 2001 called, and they said 'What good does this do me? I want a clip.'
