Viber lookup location - Moma - 09-21-2012

I am using this app to talk to a few lizards overseas. There is an icon on it that one can click on that shows the exact location of the person. I am keeping my location anonymous to the lizard.

Does anyone know if Viber automatically allows the recipient to pinpoint the location of the other by default? I assumed the default settings when installing the app. I am also only connected via Wifi.

Thanks.

Are you trying to do a reverse Nigerian internet cafe style scam?

Lol, oh no, my friend, this is America, no need for scams, just honest business.

Na you have to have the little location arrow clicked for your location to be seen. If its bold, then it's on. Its suspiciously easy to accidentally click it though, being right in the corner near the texting screen.

No idea. I know SKOUT does automatically pinpoint your location. Skout does not allow to talk by voip connection, only IM

Sorry I can't answer your question. But I want to know how Viber is working for you? I always get bad connections when doing calls, even sometimes in my own city.

I use it for texting, it has sucked for phone calls, it keeps cutting in and out, I don't know if it's due to the Internet down here or what. When I get some paper, I might upgrade to higher speed.

The lizard said it works perfectly when using it locally (she is in Europe).

Thanks, I think that's it.
