NoPorn / NoFap Google Group - For Those Who're Serious - Wutang - 10-25-2017

Had a bit of a scare with my no-porn commitment tonight. While we were at Golden Chen’s, a co-worker was showing everyone a video of a girl being fisted in the ass that someone in this group chat he's in had sent.. He showed it to me and I glimpsed at it, thinking I would be more amused then aroused, since the context of the video was a bunch of rambunctious guys sending outrageous stuff to each other.

Turned out that the girl receiving the fisting was Proxy Paige, a porn star I was familiar with due to seeing her on one of those compilation videos of porn stars saying outrageous things on eFukt. The brief viewing of the video ended up triggering memories of my old porn habit and I found myself feeling the urge to Google her. I ended up doing so but didn’t click to any of the links to her videos. However, I did look at this page that had a biography of her, thinking it would be okay since it wasn’t a porn video but the page with the interview had some nude pictures of her. Thankfully, I managed to grab a hold of myself, working to banish the images and desires that had cropped up in my mind before things really spiraled out of control. In the end, I didn’t look up any of her videos nor did I masturbate. I have to admit; those thoughts are still in the back of mind but I’m confident that I have them under lock and key so I should be fine through the night.

Positive aspect of this experience is I got to see how many people commonly relapse - the rationalizing, the half steps you take towards relapsing, thinking it’s okay since you’re just taking a peek and you’re not viewing full out hardcore material and then before you know it, you’re sitting in your bedroom wiping yourself off with a tissue - without actually relapsing myself. I'd hate to sound like one of those old middle aged finger wagging school marms, but incidents like this really do make me realize how porn-fied our culture is and how it's being constantly pushed on us. I'm pretty disconnected from a lot of media and pop culture yet I still cannot avoid this.

Thanks for the share, Wutang.

This is a great illustration of how porn addiction works. You don't think you're addicted, because your brain convinces you otherwise. Until you consciously try to remove it from your life, porn seems like this benign activity similar to reading a book.

This can't be farther from the truth. Pornographic images and videos have massive power over us due to the connection to SEX. If he was just showing a funny gif of something wholesome, like a dog falling off the couch, it would not have that affect on you.

Learning from experiences like this is key to the process. Next time you're in a similar situation, you'll remember this post, and be skilled enough to avoid going down the rabbit hole.

Relapsed, lost a 7 day streak a couple of days ago and now a 2 day streak. I've been eating tons of chocolate and other processed foods I need to cut that out as it makes me more prone to breaking my streak.

Been drinking too much last few times I've gone out. I can tell it's bad for my health and gym progress. My game also gets weaker after a certain threshold.
Last night I was in bed with a super cute 19yo virgin, I was really attracted to her but my dick didn't want to fuck at all.
I suppose it's a mix between alcohol and NoFap Flatline. Gonna go monk mode for a while to reboot.
No more alcohol, partying and shit. I need some time to focus on myself, my body and my mind

For transparency sake - I've been dabbling in Kratom for the past few weeks. I think it definitely helps if you're trying to cut out porn and masturbation.

When I'm on Kratom, I still feel sexual, but I don't get raging horniness that comes with the urges.

Jury's still out if I recommend this stuff, I still want to weigh the pros and cons, but my libido has definitely been lower the past few weeks.

I wasn't sure if it was flatline, kratom, or lack of sleep, but after reading this post, I think it's the kratom:

The Kratom Lifestyle Has a Positive and Negative Effect on My Sex Life

Even with high-testosterone levels (doctor-supervised HRT), Kratom has a negative effect on my sex drive.

In my case, I can still get turned on, sometimes very quickly - but my libido is not as strong as it would be without Kratom. It's far from dead however.

This is typical of long-term use of anything that affects opiate receptors but is certainly less than more "hardcore" compounds.

My general advice - just go through the motions in the bedroom, you'll get a boner. Cialis will obviously solve any ED issues.

At the same time, there's been a really helpful positive effect - Kratom makes me last longer in bed.

Often - a lot longer.

In my experience, the lowered sensitivity from Kratom is absolutely perfect for me.

It's not like a stimulant that will prevent me from getting hard. And It's not like similar compounds (Tramadol, or SSRIs) that totally prevents me from getting off.

Although not always necessary, Cialis and the lowered sensitivity combines for amazing performance in the bedroom.

It's really made me (seem) excellent in bed.

If you want to use Cialis every day, you can ask your doctor about Cialis for Daily Use (2.5 mg Cialis).
(FDA-approved, for what it's worth)

As a side note - Kratom has very little effect on my male enhancement efforts.

The lowered libido is a negative but nothing I can't work past or completely negate with Cialis. I've gone from ~6.0 to ~7.0 over the past 4 or 5 years, a long way from the modest 5.25" I started at in ~2001.

Just keep progressing, it's worth it, the testimonials on this thread are real. If you fall, get back up

I think abstaining, working out and supplementation will make you all have much increased energy and focus

If you are a 20+ year old, trust us and stop, you also have a lot more time to re-wire and be healthy. Don't fall victim to the corrupt culture and technology, boys

Been edging last 2 days because I was horny as fuck. Didn't cum though.

I'm gonna reset my counter anyway, day 1 for me tomorrow.
Let's make it special by picking up a hottie at the halloween party I'm at, I really need some release

Going on three straight weeks of nofap/noporn. Some morning boners, more focus and random boners throughout the day. Has upped my desire to wife shop. I feel the strong desire to dump a huge load inside my future wife. When a man has a full sack of seeds, a fertile woman who isn't on birth control is like a magnet. Waiting is painful, but is also creates a directed focus for those men like myself who are called to fatherhood.

NoPorn / NoFap Google Group - For Those Who're Serious - Wutang - 10-30-2017

^ Every since I started hitting my late 20s, my man hormones have been telling me more and more to go out and put a baby in a chick. No fap has absolutely intensified that desire. I still desire sex as much if not more as I always have but the nature of this desire feels different from when I was a chronic masturbator and porn user. Now of instead of seeing a woman as a cum toilet and merely a device I use to take care of a bodily function, I now want sex to also be a bonding experience and a way for the two of us probe and explore each other. At the risk of sounding like a blue bill sap, I'd like to be able to lose myself in a woman during the act.

Also, just made it to 90 days.

Congrats man on 90 days, I totally understand the feeling. Sex is more of a spiritual experience and there's nothing more natural and beautiful in the world than wanting to find a good woman lay her down, look her in the eyes and tell her that she's about to become a mother. Porn can't ever give you that feeling, even creampie porn. The most romantic/intense/fulfilling sex you will ever have is with a woman you love and that you're trying to breed.

Nothing else can even come close.

In fact, a major reason why I've gone nofap/noporn is to be a better lover to my future wife. I don't want porn/fapping to be a 3rd party to our marriage when she deserves every drop of my seeds deep inside of her. Now that is an intimacy that porn/fapping can never buy you. I feel like a madman waiting, but I'm using that extra sexual energy to up the wife hunt. The hunger, if focused, can drive a man to succeed in his goal of becoming a patriarch.

I started watching pornography when I was only 13. It's taken me 10 years to finally break my addiction to porn. I quit for good 5 months ago. It took a lot for me to quit. I developed ED and lost my desire to be with a real woman. The best advice I can give is just stay busy and get rid of anything that can tempt you. In June I was promoted in my company. The new position came with longer hours and responsibilities. I simply don't have time to watch porn for several hours straight. In addition to my new job I started going back to the gym and eating a healthy well balanced diet. As result of abstaining from porn I have finally got my erections back and no longer a virgin.

For those who have trouble getting or maintaining erections or feel like their libido is not flying on all cylinders like it should be, I may have a solution.

It took me 3 years to figure out what was wrong with me and why I couldn't perform like I used to, but it turns out that it was chronic tension in my pelvic floor muscles all along. I could explain further but I wouldn't be able to do it justice compared to this link:

If NoFap appears to help temporarily but your issues tend to resurface, it may be worth looking into.

I'm now at four straight weeks, with minimal temptation. Stay busy and good things happen!

It would be helpful for the entire forum if you'd take the time to explain your personal experience with this topic.

Anyone can go around and post links. We want to hear what YOU've done.

Reading this article....seems legit. It's widely discussed on penis forums that tight pelvic floor can cause a lot of issues. The common remedy is lots of reverse kegels and squat stretches.

I practice these, but haven't gotten any crazy returns. Maybe you could shed some light on your techniques and how they helped you.

Skimming the article it looks like the remedy is stretching and massage? That's it?

@tonysoprano and @ redbeard: Sounds like a subject worth investigating. Perhaps start a new thread to create a datasheet on that specific topic, so it doesn't get lost in the 100+ pages here of nofap?

I have read that chronic masturbation leads to an overly tight pelvic floor. I have noticed tension in those muscles myself and I often unknowingly clench them when I am stressed or anticipating sexual action.

I would say kegels/reverse kegels, deep breathing work/meditation, stretching and some myofascial work would be best.

I also bookmarked this video quite a while ago but haven't given it a try yet.

As I wrote previously in this thread, I had just completed 90 days. However, during the 90 days there were times where I edged: not while viewing porn and it wasn't full out whacking off but there was still stimulation of my penis. I'm going to begin another 90 day program where I will not masturbate, look at porn, nor edge. 5 days in.

NoPorn / NoFap Google Group - For Those Who're Serious - MaceTyrell - 11-05-2017

While I’m only 3 days in, there’s an effect I’ve noticed from time to time whenever I hit a 2nd day of nofap and onwards (it happens almost too frequently to just be a coincidence).

I sleep less. Like this morning I just naturally got up after 6 hours of sleep (instead of my usual 7, sometimes 8).

Mostly posting this for accountability, and to remind myself that the health benefits of this make up for the lost pleasure.

I'm on Day 37.. and I've not noticed anything peculiar since I stopped fapping. Guess I'll have to dig it out for 120 days before I can make inferences.

Last time I did NoFap (a few years ago) my streak lasted about 90 days and in that time period I lost my virginity.

Been on a dry spell for a few months now...

I just restarted NoFap/NoPorn three days ago on Nov 4. Here we go!

NoPorn / NoFap Google Group - For Those Who're Serious - little wing - 11-07-2017

Edged to porn yesterday so I reset.

Just bought a calendar to hang next to my desk and a little notebook to write down my progress and thoughts.
I think this will help me.

Today I finally managed to get up earlier, did some stretching and foam rolling, did my cardio and am about to take a cold ass shower, meditate and then cook a healthy ass meal. So far so good.

Check out JP's thoughts on porn:

Anyone using NF Companion android app? It tracks days, has relapse and diary options, coupled with funny named "ranks" which are awarded to you after completion of particular streak of days. Also, it has a lot of motivational quotes which are good to look at when you are in trouble.
