Try drop sets with cable chest fly. Been pumping my chest out great.

Meaning: cable chest fly x12...then drop down and give me 20-30..stand back up and pump out 4-6 more reps.

I'm bumping this thread, as I am pretty much where OP was when he started this thread, more or less. Same body type. 5x5 my bodyweight in flat bench. I'm also noticing the chest lagging in comparison to everything else.

Also I'd love to see where OP is at now as opposed to when he started this thread.

I hit a wall on chest and ended up doing a periodized Bench program,

- Volume Training Monday
- Tune up Thursday

It was the only thing that bumped my chest size and numbers after hitting a plateau when I was younger.

If you think about it, even Arnold had this problem in that he had to adjust his workout to maintain physical symmetry in the form he wanted. If you have made the appropriate gains, in other areas, you might have to refocus. On the bright side you get to hit chest everyday, my personal favourite routine. I'd also say incline bench is king, not regular bench. I have a small chest but my incline bench is 90% of my flat, so it has that lift.

For raw body building, I love Arnolds Encyclopedia of Body Building. He will speak for 3 pages about how to do a curl. It has tonnes of exercises so you can constantly surprise your muscles. I know there are lots of newer training methods, but I still like Arnold.

OP get a coach .I was the same .It all changed when I got a powerlifting coach. So go find a gym with a good coach...not some personal trainer without a clue.
It will save you years..

You also need a training partner for chest ,its key.
