Lisbon should be on your list. You're a surfer. The beaches at Guincho and Caparica are world-class. There's a nice topless beach by Caparica as well (you need a car to get there, though). It's not as big of a city as BCN, but it's world-class. Good art scene, and check out this mural Os Gemeos + Blu did last week:

Yes, Lisbon as a city is under rated from a cultural/touristic stand point. But, I find Barcelona to be much more enjoyable. Also, in general I didn't find the Portugese girls to be that attractive. Of course, there are pretty girls around, but the quality was much lower than in Barcelona. The nightlife is also a lot more sedate and much quieter. I did go in the summer, so this may account for the lack of beautiful locals and moribund nightlife.
Lisbon is a great city with a great vibe. The girls are hard work though unless you have access to social circle. Even then they all have a princess complex. The portuguese guys don't do us any favours either with their constant compliments on how every girl looks like a princess in their photos and they are most beautiful thing on gods green earth. Cringey shit. avoid for SNL's but i would live there in a flash because it really has everything else imo

Lisbon is bereable, on the verge of being good in the summer months, with the tourist influx, that thankfully has been getting better by each passing year, mostly due to the turbulence in the middle east and Turkey.

As for the winter time (7-8 months)...if a guy does not have a stable girl nor is part of the top 5% of looks...all I can say to him is...good luck! I hope your dry spell (s) will be not be long.

Other than that, yes, it is a very liveable and enjoyable place.

NY city is overrated for tourists. It is overwhelming filthy. Too many people.

Most Overrated/Underrated Place You've Been - AManLikePutin - 09-24-2016

Overrated: Barcelona (Spain) , Maybe I stand alone in this, but with all the hype surrounding the city, I just didn't feel it. It was a huge letdown.

Underrated: Bergen (Norway) , Incredible nature, gorgeous scenery, some great festivals and underrated nightlife.

Most overrated: Medellin, Colombia

City is hyped up into the stratosphere but isn't anything special. Absolutely nothing to do except look at fat women statues (Botero). The girls (paisas) are the most arrogant/flaky I've met anywhere in South America.

I wrote about that few times on my blog and many people agreed with my views. It's a relatively clean city for Latin American standards if that's your thing.

Underrated: Any 2-tier city in Brazil (Belo Horizonte, Juiz de Fora, etc); 2-tier Poland (Poznan, Katowice, etc) beautiful cities with friendly people; Berlin was surprisingly nice; Croatian coast is amazing (Split, Dubrovnik) but not sure about gaming.

Medellin is among top 5 cities in the world!

Most overrated in Mexico: Cuernavaca. City of Eternal Spring, my ass.

Most underrated in Mexico: Real del Monte, quiet colonial mining town. In the guidebook for sure but less well known than other 'pueblos mágicos'. Access via a terrifying 'combi' microbus ride from Pachuca (central Mexico, Mexico City).

Most overrated: Spain.
People bash Spain here, but it's actually not enough to describe what kind of mierda this place is. Especially Madrid and Barcelona. Honestly, the most impolite people on earth.

Most underrated: Southern Italy. Fucked up economy but very friendly people. If you are a honest guy, you can find there a nice wife.

Most Overrated/Underrated Place You've Been - serpico - 09-25-2016

I could never 'click' with Spain. The people sat around on big tables in bars in groups of 12, the unweildy social circles all Spaniards seem to have, people going out at 1130pm instead of a civilised hour. Plus it's pretty expensive for what you get there. Overrated food as well. But the people are friendly enough, albeit in a somewhat superficial way.

Spain in general is not my favorite country but I have nothing bad to say about Barcelona. It's probably one of the best cities in the world.

The winter is a joke with 15-20 degrees during the day and in the summer there's barely any rain. I spent there 1 month in the summer and 2 weeks in the winter, both times it was very sunny without a drop of rain/snow.

You have amazing logistics. A small flat close to the beach is 500 to 600 EUR, dirt cheap for living in such a nice city. That's a 15-20 min walk from the Gothic quarter where the millions of tourists are concentrated when they're not at the beach.

Lastly, it's female tourist central. Barcelona gets a ridiculous amount of young horny female tourists, it's non stop shop for day game and night game. I really love the fact that people go out late. After a long day of work you have time to rest before hitting the nightlife.

Although my interaction with the locals was quite limited I get the feeling that they are quite open if you learn Catalan. In the Gracia neighborhood, the locals were sitting on the benches socializing in the evenings. It was very easy to join in the conversation if you understood what they were taking about.

I found Lisbon to be a great city. Friendly people, albeit the women are not incredibly attractive. If you go in the summer, you'll find a lot of attractive tourists from France/Italy there. It's easily accessible to other areas like Belem, Cascais and Sintra, where the women are typically higher quality.

Bairro Alto is a shitshow, with a lot of Eastern European tourists, but if you can navigate it, it's not difficult to pull. The bars are small and very intimate.
It's not quite as dope as Barcelona, but the city has a great vibe, good food, and a lot of friendly people.

Amsterdam to me ... Very overrated. City seemed like a wasteland of loser mid-20's tourists who don't do anything but smoke and go to the red light district. The nightlife is not as good as I thought it would be. The women on the other hand, were some of the best I'd seen in any city. Very distant and unfriendly though.

Could you give more detail of what is so horripilante? Are the other cities like Valencia, or maybe the Basque Country, any better? Is Madrid bad because of rudeness only or what?

Most overrated: Malaga and Madrid.

I loved Spain, especially Granada, Valencia and Barcelona. However, Malaga and Madrid are too overrated.

Most Overrated/Underrated Place You've Been - odesseus - 10-04-2016

My two cents:

Most overrated country: Scotland. So much wrong with that country it would take pages. Don't go - unless it's for the history, whiskey or seafood (all of which can be found elsewhere at half the price without the snarky, overweight, homely women).

Most undervalued country: Estonia / Tallinn. So much right - Gorgeous, approachable women, cafes on every corner, cheap like borscht, nightlife, history, countryside...it's fantastic.

Canary Islands are worth checking out - a short ferry ride from the south of Spain. Island life, lots of girls and weather is better all year.

Manila..
According to posts on this forum it's some kind of wonderland.

In reality, it's a pretty horrible place

Reasons: thread-29738...pid1077172

Yes your assessment isn't entirely wrong when it comes to Manila. It's true that you have to have a social circle to crack the decent tiers. The city is a mess and Filipino infrastructure is ass.

I'm curious as to how much daygame you did there though. That and social circle is the sweet spot. If a person relied solely on online game they would likely walk away disappointed.

When I read that thread you linked to I do admit that I laughed at guys being surprised at encountering trannies and hoes walking down makati avenue. All this tells me is that someone didn't do their research. What do you expect when you walk down a polluted ass main roadway which connects to a red light district. It's like walking down lower sukhumvit in bangkok and complaining about having some troglodyte with trackmarks and HIV hitting you up for a blowjob.

Comparing Taiwanese girls to Filipinas is like comparing Lebron James to Brian Scalabrine though [Image: tongue.gif] TW, Korean, and Japanese girls are simply on a whole other level.

I did some day game at the malls in Makati. I did night game at clubs in BGC area and pulled from there. Online was easy pickings but I didn't do too much cause the quality was not that great.
Met one guy from the forum there and knew another friend from tw who was there at the time. Yeah, I'm aware of what you mentioned with regards to social circle I'm sure it can be better but maybe after being in Taiwan a while being in Manila just felt like too much of a step back.

Most underrated among the forum: Berlin, Brisbane, Taipei

- Berlin: great nightlife, busy clubs 24/7, extremely easy for SNLs, good music
- Brisbane: low competition compared to other Australian cities, easy SNLs, great weather
- Taipei: Most attractive girls I've seen in Asia from here (been to 5+ countries in Asia), ONS culture compared to China due to Western influence

Most overrated: Prague, Krakow

- Prague: nightlife disappointing, local girls extremely hard to find, fairly expensive compared to other Central European countries
- Krakow: local girls seem to have genuine dislike for foreigners, a bit touristy

You call 45 hours a short ferry ride? Make it a plane ride.

Underrated : Oslo , Norway , Mallorca Spain. Both have down to earth girls.
Overrated : Montreal , this city is a dead city starting from September to May due to the cold, bitchy girls attitude all over the year.

Did you go to Oslo in January?

Under-rated Budapest, was just full of British guys when I went. Got scammed.

Underrated for quality would be Albania, but the girls are not easy.

No it was in March,it was cold but many people go out , but I found girls there down to earth, easier to deal with comparing to the bitchy Montreal girls.(or Canadian generally).

I would say also that Montreal girls are more spoiled, they get approached a lot that's what makes Oslo easier.

The quality of girls is the same in both , but of course for the same girl , the Norway girl is easier to get.

Most Overrated/Underrated Place You've Been - RBerkley - 10-16-2016

Casa Nostra,

Canada overall is considered less fun, more cold in terms of weather & women, than compared to European Union.

Even European Union citoyens dislike Canada!

That is one thing I will agree upon how Europe is more fun than uptight Canada.

Most Overrated/Underrated Place You've Been - Australia Sucks - 10-18-2016

Overrated: Peru. The food is good if it is home cooked, and the the fruit, vegetables and fresh juice is awesome. However, maybe 3 out of every 10 restaurants will have good food and most of the foreign restaurants suck. The sightseeing (especially the nature and ruins) is excellent but everybody tries to rip you off, the gringo premium is huge, service is crap, everything is backwards including the people and locals are mostly racist and unfriendly. Also the girls are mostly ugly and have high bitch shields and are not easy if you are not white and also the girls generally try to scam foreigners a lot. Overall Peru is a 6/10 but people on Rooshv make it sound like paradise on earth. Its not a bad place and is worth a visit but it just does not live up to the enormous hype.

Underrated: New Zealand. Okay the women suck and its expensive but the scenery, nature, adventure activities, ease of travel, ease of booking activities, customer service levels etc, are exceptional. It is very rare for anybody to try to rip you off or scam you. Also the fresh produce is not world class but it is decent. Also the locals (with the exception of young attractive women when you are trying to game them) are generally pretty friendly and helpful and the country overall really values and respects tourists. The best holidays I have ever had were in New Zealand!!

Overrated: Heaven. The food is all the same, just "Manna", the music is overratted too, the harps & lyres get old quick and just annoy the ears. Even getting in is like the worse club ever, the Archangel face even controled me the first near-death experience that I had. No mountains, not even hills, just clouds. And the girls are too spiritual to put out. 2/10.
