I recently spent 2 weeks in Odessa and Kiev.

Odessa - definitely not as many tourists came this past summer. I went to the beach clubs - I was blow away by the talent. Truly impressed, just stunning tall women. The biggest problem - hardly anyone I met in Odessa could speak english. That made gaming almost impossible for me. I definitely plan on going back at the height of tourist season (I went at the tail end).

Kiev - still lots of opportunity for game. I was expecting that with the war going on, a lot of the women would be eager to leave Ukraine, which would play well with my white knight game. However, I was told that actually most Ukrainians (including the women) are feeling a lot more patriotic now and less eager to leave =( I still was able to get a lot of dates thru internet game so I still think there is plenty of opportunity. On the plus site, their currency is down which made my vacation in Ukraine pretty cheap.

Ok back in Kiev for Round 2!

Beautiful weather here now as they are having an Indian Summer (Babye Leta).

My ego got slightly bruised during my last foray here, but have to admit that reading about the Kamaki meltdown (and game (or lack theerof) unveiling) makes me feel a bit better and not wondering so much why I wasn't banging girls in the airport bathroom upon arrival last time I got here

Going to hit the night clubs full on tonight and tomorrow (if my dates don't go well) and report back. Am very interested to find out how the nightlife is compared to summer (when it was practically non-existent).

@ohionukes - I think your Kiev experience is pretty much in line with what most of us found this summer. One thing I noticed just getting back is how cheap this place is at almost 13 to 1 Hryvnia to USD. Lot of patriotism and elections going on now + the fear of Russia shutting off the gas keeping people busy but also uneasy I guess.

If they turn off the gas I can warm some of these bitches up for sure though

Dali Park seems closed for the winter (it's not even open air...). Too bad because, although it was very expensive and the music was insanely loud at the bars, it's still the best club with the best looking girls and best atmosphere I've seen in Kiev...

Close to Dali Park I see always a lot of people at "Zilione" (green) Theater on foursquare. It might be worth to check it.

Ladies night Wednesday night at Caribbean is also worth checking.

I went a couple of times to Deluxe but didn't like it much (especially the lighting on the dance floor that is blinding). Pretty dead on Thursday night but a few semi-pros and normal girls around.

Hearts is a new club in the center. The bouncers didn't want to let us have a look so we didn't get in

Every girl I met talks about Serebro. I've been there but it is basically a restaurant full of snobs (and hot girls). It seems more like social circle game

Indigo night club has crazy loud music, I couldn't stay inside

Famous nightclub is ok in the weekends (quite a lot of semi-pros though). It seems there is never a cover charge but there is also no coat check!

I went back to Forsage on a Thursday night and it was much worse than when we went together on a Friday. It seems men get in for 20 uah. Very bad ratio, music too loud and not enough pretty girls

I went to Ugly Coyote too with a wing. It's like rock teenagers jumping around. I got pushed so much, I didn't like it

Shooters ladies night on Wednesday night is much better than when we were there together but it's still a very small dance floor and it's full of semi-pros and old Turks. In shooters, one can do well if one moves around: go out for a smoke, go up to check the karaoke or to the bathroom or down to the bar. You meet more non-pro girls walking around than in the club.

I went to Buddha bar on a Thursday and it was dead and very expensive.

Sorry Babushka is not as bad as I initially thought. It's really packed on the weekends and the upstairs dance floor is big. It's full of low class Ukrainians guys but there are lots of easy 6-7s girls. I would go back there in a T-shirt or casual shirt to have some fun

Decadence was dead last night as was the Arena complex after the football match (at least from what I could tell).

Did not really see any Sponsor-seekers or hookers at all. The place has two floors and the upstairs dance floor is where you can work it a little bit more than downstairs I'd say. If you tip the bouncers they high five you which was pretty funny and got me in a good mood right off the bat.

Among other things I had to deal with were:

- a crazed Ukrainian guy who thought I was German for some reason and kept speaking to me in German. I just responded with "ja ja alles gut das ist fantastich" etc. and had a basic conversation in broken German which was kinda funny;
- a lesbian with short hair who I opened anyway bc she had a super tight body and was right at the bar next to me. I showed her this funny Instagram photo of a dog underwater and she just went into full SJW mode like "no it's not funny, animal cruelty" or some bs like that. I just looked at her and said "no, this is funny - YOU'RE not funny" and then stopped the conversation;
- two sisters (both high 7s, two of the better looking girls there) who I approached at the bar and it started off well until they proceeded to ask me to buy them drinks (!) so I ejected immediately;
- another blonde, maybe a 7, who sort of eye-fucked me a bit so I eventually approached. Had a nice conversation, then her friend dragged her away, right before I leave I went to over to get her number and she said "oh I have a boyfriend." I started with the "oh is it serious" bit but then was just like "meh, fuck it" and went home;
- another girl with a 5 face, bad teeth but 7ish body who I quickly got tired of dealing but was ok and seemingly DTF or at least interested in me. A lot of guys came in about this time and started giving her attention so I ejected given I sized her up as not being worth the trouble and someone I would probably not call back if I got the # anyway i.e. a waste of time. If I'd known that the other girls wouldn't pan out I might have pushed that one a bit more.

So I guess I ended up doing about 5 or so approaches which is typically a light night game number for me, but frankly Sorry Babushka isn't a big place and not like some of the bigger Moscow, NYC or Vegas clubs, for example.

While I had fun, I'd say for night game it was decent but not great. Better than your typical Anglosphere place fore sure, but after 1:30 the ratios seemed skewed at 60-40 guys to girls and there were not a lot of girls over say 6.5-7 there at any point from what I could tell. If you want to troll down for the 5-6 type girls it's got potential. I just went out to have a good time, do some approaches and have fun so from that perspective it was a great night.

The Sorry Babushka sounds ok but I have only been there once in Thursday and it was semi-full with only 1 dance floor open.
Coyote ugly is a nice option as well, I always enjoy there although not that easy to hook up/bang.
I met cool dude last visit which his strategy is to get numbers by day game and date them later- without doing any nightlife at all other than the dates. He says it is much better than clubs and eventually banged much more.

@Akula, compared to where I'm at (Tier1 city on East Coast US) there are really no bad places in Kiev; and remember a Kiev 6 is still a US 7! I am surprised you are not hitting up some of the expat bars for early evening drinks as there tend to be some English groupies there and just fun people to shoot the breeze with. One place where I had a good time was Golden Gate Pub. Actually, making friends with local guys sometimes is better than unsuccessful day/night game as they can introduce you to their social circles. It is truly surprising what a couple well-timed beer mugs can bring you in terms of friendship

Another way to take advantage of the black market rate with less risk is to offer to pay for stuff in dollars/euros and see if they will offer you a better rate than the "official" rate. The article mentions that some shopkeepers are doing this and then turning around and selling the dollars/euros on the black market. Less risk but will require you to haggle with individual businesses.

While the legality of this doesn't concern me the probability to get scammed or robbed is high, especially since these black markets are far from the nicer downtown of Khreshchatyk and Pechersk Raion. Even I who can pass for a local and who has walked up and down Kiev would not bother with this as any sizeable exchange (three thousand plus Hryvnia) would attract unwarranted attention. As another poster mentioned better to haggle with legit merchants and get preferred rates in Euro/Dollars.

An update on exchanging money in Ukraine, if you try to get dollars from an exchange office, none of them will give them to you, unless you have a certificate showing you got money officially through an exchange office. If you might want to exchange your money back when you leave Ukraine, be sure to ask for this certificate, I don't think the normal receipt will suffice.

As for rates, if I use my ATM card, I get right around 15 UAH per dollar, minus a small transaction fee my bank charges me. If I use a credit card for a specific a purchase, I get this same rate minus a fee of around 3%, so this is my worst option.

If I use an exchange office, I can get 15.5 UAH per dollar, with no extra fees.

Today, a local hooked me up with a black market broker where I got 16.3 UAH per dollar. I suppose as long as the exchanges won't freely exchange dollars, there will be a black market. The broker only wanted to do largish transactions, $400 or more. I suppose there is risk involved with this approach but the rate is considerably better. So if you come to Ukraine, I recommend bringing a wad of cash, within the legal limit. This time I entered Ukraine, the customs agent in the airport asked me how much cash I had on me.

Don't forget to ask your landlord if he/she wants your hard currency, you'll be doing them a small favor and getting a good rate.
