Where are you gonna be islandwise?

Aloha!

I arrive on the main island at the main airport. Apart from that I have no plans and no idea what I will do or where I will stay.

Suggestions?

So you fly into Honolulu?

As far as you getting into events, all the surfing stuff is free, and there's 1000's of girls just sitting there burning and watching the contests. Are you looking to get into some kind of black tie stuff?

As far as social circles, well there's mine, but the surf sponsoring companies rent out big houses up here on the North Shore for their team members. They all have parties every weekend. Just remember the contest dates are loosely scheduled because of the waves. And you're coming at the end of the season.

Are you British?

Aloha!

Lumière,
This is awesome man! I'm in the planning process of something similar for this fall (October 2010) and I'd have some questions for you.
First of all, where in the world are you now? I'd like to read a report of how it's been so far and what have been the highs and lows of this amazing trip so far (I'm sure others would like to read that too).

Thanks man.

Good to hear you're having a ball. Do you have a blog where you're posting more info about your trip with some pics along the way?

Could you briefly post the places you've been to on this trip? And rate the top 5 and the worst 5 overall?

That'd be very informative and appreciated.

Cheers.

Depends on how I feel. Have not bothered with CS in Philippines mainly because

* Bringing back chicks to your CS hosts place to bang can be awkward and its basically been a fuck fest here

* Places to stay are so cheap its not worth the inconvenience just to save a few bucks

Some places like Australia I did not even find a single person to host me in any of the 5 cities I went. Arseholes !! Made mental note to auto refuse CS requests from all Australians when I get back to England.

The rest of the way I have CS'd a lot. Prob a 50-50 mix between that and staying in hostels.

Korea, Thailand, Cambodia, Philippines. Also I'd love to hear more about Australia, whether it's worth going. It'd definitely out of the way but I'm getting tired of constantly learning new languages.

Definitely not !!! Avoid !!!

I lived in Australia for a year about 15 years ago and had a great time back then.

Had a few hot Australian GFs while I was there (note - the hot girls in oz are typically the ones that are mixed race. Eurasians.)

Going back there last month I was shocked.

* Everything is 400% more expensive

* The place has turned into a nanny state. Bars are now fined more than 500 dollars if a person is found on the premises intoxicated. A typical conversation with a doorman goes like this

Me : Hi
DM : How much you had mate
Me (sober) : Erm, none
DM : I think you have had too much. You are not coming in

My cousin was physically thrown out of a bar there because he had "been there a while" and I actually saw a sign in a bar that said "persons approaching intoxication will be ejected from the premises"

Erm .... "approaching intoxication" ... when you have one sip of your first drink you are "approaching intoxication". On top of that, it's their job to get you buzzed.

On top of that the general cuntishness of the average aussie male (and sometimes female) is just off the scale. It was bad the first time I was there but it has actually got worse.

I have some stories to tell next time I see you but lets just say I am amazed I did not get involved in a bar fight while I was there.

People glaring at me, swearing under their breath, giving me hateful stares because they have seen me approach and chat to a girl who responded to me positively, people physically throwing themselves in between me and a girl on approach.

People getting glassed is very common.

Just a horrible, horrible experience compared to last time I was there. Probably the number one low point of the entire trip.

Number one high point so far is Philippines.

And everyone here speaks English.

Book your flight dude.

Very interesting, Australian female backpackers were among the friendliest and hottest gringa girls I saw on the hostels that I stayed in Africa and Latin America. And the guys were nothing but gentlements. Australia has been on my radar ever since I got my flag in NY with this Aussie chick mixed with Aboriginal. On an unrelated note, Australia has the largest number of female members on BlackPlanet.com After Germany.

Lumiere, Did you ever made it to the "Galapagos?" If you did how was your cruise? Mines was a cockfest. I saw a lot of un-Mackish behavior on board. Also, what were your thoughts about Ecuadorians girls? too many VPL (Visible Panty Line) for my taste.

Wow, I had a totally different experience in Australia, except maybe the "Everything is 400% more expensive" part.

"Number one high point so far is Philippines."

You need to expand on this.

It sounds like it rains pussy from the sky in the Philippines, from what I've read on here, it seems to be the easiest place to get laid for an American/European white guy.

My thoughts exactly. Aussies have always been THE coolest people I meet on the road, hands down. I've never met an Aussie I didn't like, as I always say. It could be that the ones that go backpacking are a different breed than the ones who don't travel.

Cities have personalities. Countries have personalities. Cultures have personalities. Women in different cities, countries, and from different cultures, are all going to have personalities that are shaped and influenced by where they are from (as we all know on here).

Key is finding the one that meshes the best with who you are. That's the beauty of long-term travel / the ex-pat life. You can pick and choose your optimum situation.

While in Hawaii, be sure to visit Oahu's North Shore.

Why? What's there?

Between January and April, the North Shore is home to a number of surfing competitions. These events bring a tremendous amount of beautiful girls here from all over the world. Incredible numbers of swimwear and fitness models come here for the events. Numbers wise you get one of the best concentrations of fit, healthy, international beach girls anywhere in the world.

Kona,

Man, I've always wanted to hit up Hawaii during those events...those hapa girls are a weakness of mine.

Any tips on gaming the girls at the beaches or in general during those times...especially if I'm not a local.

Thanks

Hapa girls have been a weakness of mine ever since I knew what girls were. Its nice to hear folks interested in The North Shore.

I don't know why I wrote Jan to April above, maybe I was burning? The Triple Crown contests are in November and December. Big surf lasts until the end of April.

There's so much girls up here during the surf season. If you aren't a local, the best advice is to just be where the girls are. On contest days, just sit in the bleachers and watch. On off days, go where the waves are the most crowded. What I've really learned over the years is to not ignore the promo and model girls. Tons of people are way into watching pro surfers, which can get boring. Guys tend to only try to game the girls there watching, but lots of those girls are watching the pro guys hoping to get swooped by them. There are tons of clothing and other companies that set up booths with girls working in them to sell stuff. After surfers come in the get their pictures taken standing between model type girls. These girls just don't get approached because most guys are focusing on the spectators.

When it comes to Picking Up Girls, you should always take what The G says very seriously. In this case, it is important to embrace the spirit of his advice, not necessarily the letter of it. Backdoor's is a great place to get in the water for a non-local during high surf days. Closer to shore at Sunset, and Haleiwa Ali'i are also great breaks. Lots of girls, smaller waves, and less dangerous reefs.

Whatever you do, STAY OUT OF THE WATER AT PIPELINE! Local or non-local, those waves are for guys that know what they're doing. If you try to get out there, you'll probably get chased away. Those are the best waves in the world, and there aren't a lot of them. You have to prove to the right people that you're qualified to take them. A little of this is localism, but a lot of it is for everyone's safety. People say the locals at Pipe are intimidating, but who always stops everything and pulls the donkeys from Akron Ohio out when their heads get split open?

These guys will give you bruises and black eyes for dropping in on people, but they're also charging right out to grab whoever just hit rocks:
[attachment=191]

Night time is good during the season, too. There are only 5 bars open in Haleiwa left, and during the season they are always packed with beach girls. Smoking is illegal indoors, and all of the bars have excellent outdoor gazebo type spots to light up. Weed is ok. They all close at 2, but it's ok because most folks are up early with the waves, and it's a small town. During the season, I cruise them at happy hour time, and can usually swoop a girl by about 9 p.m. and still get to bed at reasonable hour.

Where you really want to be is the surfer house parties. Board and clothing companies rent and own some beachfront spots that they're surf teams live in. Parties at those house are so packed with girls it's obscene. They're hard to get into unless you know somebody, but if you do, and can't get laid something is really wrong with you.

Here's good info:
