for some reason those motivate me,

just think about it, some people die, some people cant even fuck etc

Sometimes I honestly wonder what I would do with my life if I lost my ability to have sex.

The line I like to use whenever I find myself hesitating on anything, whether it be approaching girls, pursuing goals, or just wasting time and being unproductive, comes from the movie Shawshank Redemption.

"Get busy living or get busy dying."

I used to repeat this mantra at a cadence while jogging.

"I crave movement. It gives me my power.
I embrace growth; it sets me free.
Consistent action is the key
To being the man I want to be."

That may not be quite right, and I think there was more to it than that; I haven't used it in a while and I can't remember it all. Often, I'd just repeat the first two lines over and over again while running.

I also had mantras for other aspects of my life that I'd use to get myself pumped up before starting work, for example.

These internal chants can be very powerful.

Beyond All Seas

"The individual has always had to struggle to keep from being overwhelmed by the tribe.
To be your own man is a hard business. If you try it, you'll be lonely often, and sometimes
frightened. But no price is too high to pay for the privilege of owning yourself." - Kipling

Life's unfair.

Make sure it is unfair in your favor.

(Stole that from Calvin and Hobbes)

Found it!

"Don't be a pussy" - I strongly believe that if every man on earth repeated this to himself every day whenever he needed white knighting and betahood would be wiped out of the planet in a matter of weeks

Fucking dinosaurs. I bet they did not expect the meteorite either. Well, nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition

and an atheist version f the Serenity prayer

May I gain the serenity to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and the wisdom to know the difference

"You are just a man." is also one I like to use.
Or the original Latin,

"Respice post te. Hominem te memento."

Sometimes one meets a person who is dejected by their place in society or negative events in their history. Maybe they were adopted, grew up in foster care, parents divorced, were poor, what have you. Add to that America's hyperindividualism, where subsuming oneself to greater society is considered blasphemy, despite the human need to belong to a group. Top that off with the wavering of traditions and heritage in favor of progressivism, and the results are people attempting to fill that void with temporary, sometimes detrimental, fixes.

Roosh and other PUAs have reduced approaching down to an experiment where one gathers data points. The following mantra shrinks life's crests and troughs by expanding the scale of time viewed. In both scenarios, exertion of one's finite willpower is lessened by relying on a larger framework for support.

"You represent the unbroken chain of five thousand generations of human beings. That many have come before, and you will pass the legacy on to five thousand more."

I always feel like the sovereign of my world when repeating this. The feeling of rootedness to the past, present, and future permeates.

"The whole point of being alpha, is doing what the fuck you want.
That's why you see real life alphas without chicks. He's doing him.

Real alphas don't tend to have game. They don't tend to care about the emotional lives of the people around them."
