VOLUNTARY WORK !?!

Just wondered if any of you guys had ever considered, or done voluntary work abroad? And, as a by product of genuinely doing something good for the world and finding yourself, did it open up opportunities for pussy? [Image: tard.gif]

I'm leaving my job as a writer at Christmas, after 3 years. After a bad year of little life progress, i'm taking the decision to do something for myself, start fresh, remove the bad, lackluster aspects of my life i've been dragged down by for so long. My job offers me nothing anymore.

I'd like to settle somewhere abroad for work, but before i commit to that, i'm planning on doing voluntary work for a month or two, mainly to better my perspective of the world. Of COURSE, as a skirt chaser, i'm intrigued by the opportunities such activities can open with girls. If i can volunteer to help the world, and receive a steady supply of vagina at the same time, why the hell not? [Image: banana.gif]

As it's related to my career, i'd like to teach english to poor kids. I was thinking Africa, but an't imagine the social life being that rewarding, as opposed to somewhere like Rio......... hmmmmmmmmmm.

Where would you go? What would you do? WHAT HAVE YOU DONE? Who with?

Thanks...

Where exactly you are willing to go for?

I might help you with landing up an internship there.

Hey Ami5,

Are you talking about Rio?

I've done a lot of research, and can't see past Brazil right now... especially as i'm planning on going there for the next World Cup.

My aim is to be there around February.

What do you do?

I'd make sure to find volunteer opportunities that don't charge you to volunteer as many of these commercial volunteer and gap year companies do.

Try these websites for free volunteering:
WWOOF
HelpX
Workaway.info

You do a few hours work a dayt in exchange for accomodation and food, there's everything from farms, organic projects, resorts, hostels, building huts, teaching english.

Awesome idea, just make sure your volunteering actually does help the world.

E.g. working for room and board in a hostel is not volunteering, you're only helping the owner of the hostel who usually has nothing to do with helping the poor or needy.

I think if you want to volunteer and meet chicks, anything related to animals is good.

Chicks love animals, many chicks volunteer with animals and they're usually ultra cute inside and outside. Plus animals are awesome [Image: smile.gif] Volunteering with children also good.

I posted in an earlier thread regarding volunteering at Hospitals, I know a lot about US Hospitals , Don't know how it would work abroad, but you are genuinely helping patients and giving back to the society, you will feel good about it....... Plus there is a lot of tail to be chased in the hospitals.

http://www.rooshvforum.network/thread-5442.h...pital+game

You can pick a ciity in USA, NYC, MIAMI, LA with a big Univ hospital and call there volunteer dept ........., I Guess the same can work at University hospitals in Colombia or Brazil.

Lets see any Medcial Players from SA on the forum chime in...........

Please for the love of science, DONT pay to volunteer. That is seriously fucked up.

In a few days, I'm inadvertently landing in the city with the worst natural disaster occurring right now (Bangkok), and while volunteering wasn't initially on my mind when I bought the ticket, if I see people in need it may just be something to do.

Being on the other side of the world at the moment I just donated to soidog.org who are saving the dogs left behind in the flood.

Don't get it wrong the owners of the dogs aren't 'assholes' to leave them behind, they were not allowed to take them when they were evacuated by the army.

Back to topic and regardless of my own preferences, my experience shows you'll always find a lot of chick activists near children and animal charities, and usually these are cool girls.

I don't know if you are looking for volunteer work as a means of bridging into an international career, but if you are, then Gringoed right - do NOT pay to volunteer. At worst, you should pay your own living expenses while doing an internship with a reputable company in order to boost your reputation in your target country while building country-specific work experience and building a network. Then you can more easily transition into a full time job.

What do you do?

I am associated with the world's largest youth organization, and can land up exact kind of volunteer work you are look for.
Yes, unlike the comments on this forum, there will be a charge for it. 300 Bucks, to be very straightforward.
But, then you don't have to worry about a single thing.
How?
I did such a Volunteer work myself this summer in Ukraine.
I'll give you an account of my own volunteer work:
Interestingly, my job was to teach English to young university students and the volunteers for the Euro Cup'12, which is going to be held in Ukraine next year (along with Poland)

I did not spend a penny in the country - free food, free accommodations, and lived with 15 people from 9 countries in a 3 story apartment.

As the 'other' part of the volunteer work goes, check out my Ukraine thread.

VOLUNTARY WORK !?!

Hey MagicMarker!

I just got back from spending some time in Ethiopia and I can tell you there is alot of help needed there. The country is dirt poor, it has the worst powerty I have ever seen on all my travels. So youre help will be much appreicated! There is alot youcan do, just do a quick search on the net and you will see. Teaching english is very much welcommed!

The country is green and beautiful full of lakes and waterfalls. Its dirt cheap to live, eat, party, fuck and travel around. The people in general are really nice, helpful and friendly. The women are slim and beautiful. Its pretty safe compared to other african countries, or other places for that matter.

I am myself thinking about taking time of work, maybe a half -to a year , to go back and help. Shit ...I feel like helping!
It will give you a different look on life and the things that are important!!

Anyways...whatever you decide for...good luck!!

VOLUNTARY WORK !?!

Guys,

Thanks everyone for the replies - they are really appreciated.

I'm glad you share my thoughts on voluntary work being a good choice. I physcially can't live this life anymore in Birmingham, England. My job has taken my soul, ALMOST taken my charisma....

This year, i made a terrible mistake, staying in a job that was doing me damage. I should have left last February...... but didn't. Instead, i stayed for the MONEY, which funded several trips throughout the year to COPENHAGEN three times, Krakow, soon Braga, Portugal, and Stockholm at New Year. What's happened, is that i've been subject to a rollercoaster of life sickness - GOING AWAY, living it up abroad, coming home to work and a MASSIVE DOWNER EVERYTIME. I don't know if you guys feel the same, or do a similar thing to me - travelling for SHORT BREAKS, but it is not the ANSWER. I can't live for short trips anymore...

I see my life in Birmingham as irrepairable. My job can't go anywhere, i feel like i have NO CAREER, my social circle is not as big as it used to be... and LIKE A LOT OF YOU have felt out of love with somewhere like DC........ i have NO LOVE left for my home city, or England in General. Now that i've discovered the gems abroad, i struggle to even GO OUT in my home City. I know it's bad..... but my vibe is so low over here............ the girls here, make GAME so unenjoyable. When you've drove a Ferrari, can you really go back to a three wheeler?

In Copenhagen.... i felt like a GOD. Like i could have any girl i wanted. VIBE = UNSTOPPABLE. Beautiful girls, night after night. SO YES, My aim is to move away a bit the next year. Due to the fact i've been so selfishly down, I DESPERATELY want some perspective. I want to see the world and YES HELP OTHERS!!!! I want to see that my life in england isn't actually that bad. Maybe, one day,.. i can be happy again here.

I really want to live self-lessly and volunteer for a while - to be away. It's seriously tough choosing what and where to go, because as you have pointed out, there are so many companies wanting money! I don't want to pay! I'm going to look into the opportunities you've listed, so thanks people. I'll also be in touch with you AMI5... sounds very intriguing!

ONE THING THOUGH that's bothering me........ I say i want to volunteer, but at the same time, the devil on my shoulder is saying 'I MUST VOLUNTEER where the pussy is ripe'. Is this normal? Does it make me a bad person!? [Image: whip.gif] It's terrible, i'm put off going to places like Africa because i'm not attracted to black women... Ethiopia the same........ is this seriously bad of me? Am i letting my selfishness overshadow my genuine WANT for volunteering? Should i GO WHERE help is needed, and not where the girls will make my dick hard? It's a viscious circle aint it? I'd like to think i'm just a man who wants to do something good, different, help others, but EXCEL with game at the same time. [Image: catlady.gif]

Sorry i've gone on a bit! Get the violins out.... [Image: smile.gif]

Sounds a bit like me, I can't do short trips anymore. I consider 3 months too short now and need longer. After seeing the world, doing exciting things and fucking exotic women I struggle with life at home. The place seems so dull, the nightlife so boring and the girls so unappealing.

My plan is to get out the country in January, go to Asia, travel, volunteer and possibly get a paid job teaching English for a while. I want to be away for as long as possible.

VOLUNTARY WORK !?!

Hey KingofScotland!

I was just travelling around Ethiopia (Addis Abbaba, Awasa, Debra Zeit, Dukam, Lalibela) for myself to see and experience something different!
I didnt to any volunteer work, but I try to help thru giving food cupons to people, pens, paper and candy to children I met. When I had the chance.
I never give money. The thing is I would like to go back en volunteer for a longer periode.

...and yeah...I got my flag!!! :-)
