Most Overrated/Underrated Place You've Been

Overrated:
LA - Girls are looking for fame and success. They will have sex with alphas but they have absolutely NO substance. Not as many hotties as films portray it to be (I mean Entourage-esque)
Rome - Didn't like it at all.
Prague - I think it's a very beautiful city and I would love to hangout there, but the nightlife is quite sucky compared to most other big cities around.
San Francisco - This city is so expensive it reminded me of Tokyo and Oslo. And it's complete crap in all terms. Girls, city and all.

Underrated:
Bratislava - I had a blast there, not that many tourists go there, most older people do not speak english.

Overrated -
Prague: When i first was there 6 years ago it was great. Now a vast amount of locals leave the city each weekend, leaving the centre and the piss-weak nightlife rampantly unbalanced with Stag Parties and tourists. As much as i enjoyed my time there, it is strangely soulless in comparison to neighbouring countries.

Bratislava - tough one really, as i really liked the locals, but the old town area is so small that it's impossible to shake off the hordes of stags and thirsty tourists. Surprised by how many there were. Shame as the people seemed friendly and down to party. Way more than the Czechs IMHO.

Underated -
Budapest - Seems like a love it or loathe it spot. Me, i love it. I cant understand people saying they didnt like the nightlife. If thats the case, i'm pretty sure you didnt find it. It can be somewhat underground, but once you get to know the places its great. I spent a year there, and cleaned up. The Hungarians are fun, exotic, open-minded and sexy. The city has a kind of battered sexiness about it, and the size of the place means that the thirsty tourist crowd can always be avoided with a modicum of forethought.

Warsaw - In quality terms it's pretty solid if unspectacular. Don't seem to see much beyond the occasional 8, but there is a very consistent supply of 7s all around. Also the city just has a cool, upcoming vibe to it. The locals friendly, good bars and nightlife and a nice buzz about the place.

Overrated- New York City

-Traffic
Ridiculous amounts of traffic everyday. The Cross Bronx Exp. during the day is like a parking lot. If you don't need to drive, you are better off taking the train.

-Pollution.
Some neighborhoods don't really do a good job of cleaning up after themselves. In some parts of Manhattan and the Bronx you better watch where you walk because you have to dodge a lot of dog poop all over the sidewalk.

- Too many tolls.
Leaving New York through the Verrazano is like $15 (the last time I was there). Other bridges like the Triborough, Whitestone and Throgsneck are like $7.50. The Outer Bridge crossings raises the toll every year it seems. If my memory is correct, I think it is about $12 now driving into Staten Island.

Cost of living-
I haven't lived in NYC in a long time but the prices of houses are out of control. I recently checked Zillow at some of the houses in my old neighborhood. Most are running upwards of 400K. How can the average family afford a 400K house?

Taxes-
It may not be much but you have to pay a state tax and also a NYC tax.

NYC is a fun place to visit and is probably one of my favorite places to party. You can find something to do even at 2 AM but NYC is just too overcrowded for me. The competition is fierce but it isn't worth it.

When you say Hawaii, which island/city do you mean? Because Oahu north shore is nothing like Waikiki, and depending on what time of the year you are there, the ocean/crowds are totally different. Maui is a whole different vibe, especially when you compare Lahaina and Hana. The climate is literally desert vs rainforest. Oahu has traffic at 6AM, Molokai has no traffic lights. Big Island has land for sale under 100k, on Oahu that will get you a parking spot. I haven't explored the rest of the islands, but I am convinced there is something to like there for anyone.

Having been there very recently, I agree entirely with this post. No future, dirty, tolls/taxes, etc. no way those are overcome by numbers and culture. I guess if you had a good grip on young girl idiots and how to take advantage of the exploration phase they have, it could be money

But I assume too there are so many alphas with huge money that might swamp you anyway. Just a guess. Any other big city is much better, costs less than half and doesn't have stupid traffic.

^^^ Pamplona during San Fermin festival (The parties during the running of the bulls) is fantastic, I hope to go next summer again. If you want to feel like a Spaniard get drunk and dance to Spanish music in the bars like EVERYONE from the region. Everyone is so happy and full of life. Now for pickup, if youre a teenager/College aged, its good because after midnight the town plazas are full of drunk teenagers having a blast. I was lucky enough to have a local friend going in before that, so I got into his social circle. This may only be true for the younger spaniards, but they ALL loved having an American hanging with them. I talked basketball with the guys. The girls kept running up to me giggling asking if I play football and shit. If I wasn't so drunk, a 45 minute cab ride away from the hotel, and if I didnt have to share a hotel room with my parents I could have gotten laid that night. Older guys, dont expect anything too much. The girls that are maybe over 22 years old were hardly seen in the clubs, the ones that were had their guy friends surrounding them. Big age differences here arent well accepted there from what ive seen.

And also, not really sure why you put Plymouth rock as overrated. Its not exactly hailed here as being a pussy paradise. I mean, its a short excursion for when you travel to boston, but its not like people come from around the world to just see that site either.

Most overrated cities:

1) Toronto, Ontario, Canada: Toronto city fucking sucks. The majority of women are prudish feminazis, there is so much cockblocking, there is so much envy and hate, there is nothing really to do excepting for those freaks who celebrate World Pride, many men complain how they don't get dates, being outgoing is considered taboo, just accidentally looking at a woman 200 metres away while crossing the street is considered offensive to the women.

Many of the campuses in Toronto have a tremendous plethora of hysteria that the majority of females on campus are paranoid, aggressive and consider it a criminal offence if a man just approaches them. In other words, campus life sucks in Toronto. You're better off doing online courses.

Drinking age is 19 but the clubs suck that approaching a 40-year-old cougar is considered taboo like an old man approaching a five-year-old kid offering candy in his windowless van.

2) Montreal, Quebec, Canada: When Roosh made his video about his surprise at the socialness of the Montreal women (as compared to the Toronto women who are distant and cold in general), it was in 2012 when Toronto Slutwalk feminism was in its growing stages.

Don't get me wrong, Montreal is a way more fun city than Toronto, but it's not really at that level of awe and excitement as compared to European cities. It might be because of the infestation of Anglophone elitism and Toronto feminists who call Mc Gill Universite and Concordia Universite their homes. Anglophone feminism from Ontario is literally infecting Montreal. Drinking age is 18, but many of the clubs during tourist season are sausagefests and filled with Anglocunts.

3) Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada: The only good thing with the Canadian side of Niagara Falls is that the drinking age is 19, which is 2 years younger than the USA 21 drinking age (Thanks to post-Prohibitionist cunts), but the Ontario crazy woman mentality still prevails there...Niagara Falls is only good to meet those American chicks who just turned 19 and want to party, but if you're expecting to meet a Canadian chick, then you're better off asking Roosh to explain his experience with women in Toronto-occupied-Ontario.

Most underrated cities:

1) Kirkland, Quebec: This city appears to be a small town, but the quality I saw there surpassed Toronto+Montreal by a large margin. There isn't that much of a feminazi infestation in Kirkland. The city also contains a supposed majority-Anglophone population, but not the extremist elitism and feminazism found in Montreal from the Toronto women. Kirkland might offer some potential away from the Montreal Anglophone feminazis.

2) Georgetown, Guyana, South America: This is the English-speaking part of the Guianas region with Dutch, French, British and Portuguese history.

If you're using mass transit in GT, Guyana, please don't complain about the music in the bus or that the bus is overloaded. The bus driver will tell you to plainly fuck off, because it's a privately owned bus. Do not be scared if the bus clocks at 100km/h on a major street like Main St, Lamaha Street, Sheriff Street or Camp Street, though you may have every right to panic if the bus speedometer starts to surpass 140kmh on those streets. It is common for minibuses to clock at around 160kmh on the East Coast Demerara seawall road.

Went to private school in the capital city of Guyana. The city is somewhat similar to the laid-back Caribbean lifestyle of cities like Kingston, Jamaica, but with no need to hide in a resort because the crime is not as shady as in other third world countries like scammers and sophisticated pickpocketers, though I wouldn't advise anyone to walk outside later than 7pm due to the armed robberies.

Many armed robbers in Georgetown, Guyana carry semi-automatic rifles, and the country has been in a crime wave since last year. This might also explain why globalist feminazis aren't gonna walk naked on the streets of Georgetown, Guyana anytime soon. Armed robbers don't give a damm of who they target.

The good news is that Georgetown, Guyana is a popular destination for Brazilian and Chinese investors thus, the ability to meet some Brazilian and Oriental chicks without the language barrier since Guyana is mainly an English speaking country.

The bad news is that because Guyana is an English-speaking country, the Toronto and American feminazis have set shop in Georgetown, Guyana attempting to influence the CARICOM officials in Georgetown, Guyana to implement Toronto feminazi inspired policies ON THE ENTIRE CARIBBEAN COMMUNITY.

Therefore, if you plan to visit Georgetown, Guyana, be aware of any “empowered” American or Canadian woman in that country because they are likely to be feminists. Focus on the local South American and Oriental chicks. Drinking age is 18, but tradcons in Canada and USA are trying to increase the drinking age to 21 under some feminazi cause of course. The Caribbean nations are under attack from Canadian and American social justice groups, but people are still gonna party no matter what. Jamaica will not bow down to the pressure from those loser activists.

3) French Guiana, South America: This is the French-speaking part of the Guianas region. If you're a citoyen of France/EU and you never been to this country, then you're missing out. Men from France are more easy to enter and even live in French Guiana because French Guiana is considered a part of France. French Guiana is also bordered to Brazil if you want Brazilian punnany. Public transit is rare in French Guiana's capital of Cayenne, so you need to either walk or use a taxi.

In addition, the Anglophone feminazis are not able to infest feminist values in French Guiana because of the language barrier. There isn't an anticipation that Canadian and American feminazis from their proverbial Ivory Towers in Georgetown, Guyana will infect countries like French Guiana, PERU, Chile, Suriname and Bolivia anytime soon.

4) Niagara Falls-Buffalo, NY, USA: This portion of the Niagara Falls area is more fun than the Canadian side despite looking like a ghost town. Some of the American chicks automatically turn feminine when they see me rolling for some reason.

One guy looked at me in curiousity after he found his wifey staring down at me in a flirtatious way. If that happened in Toronto, it would cause a scene.

Police patrols in the area actually work on preventing robberies rather than operating as a feminist police state like it would be in Toronto. The atmosphere is more relaxed than in Toronto.

One of the downsides is that the drinking age is too high. Many of the 19 and 20-year-old chicks in the USA go to the Canadian side of Niagara Falls to get high...Surprisingly, American chicks are more down to flirt and fuck than the frigid, stubborn Canadian ones. The typical Toronto woman makes an entitled-Manhattan chick look friendly like a cowgirl in Texas.

5) Ciudad Juarez, Mexico: Officially once known as the crime capital of Mexico, but some guys I know got dates and girlfriends by staying at that border town. Canadian and America Feminazis are scared of forcing their agenda in this city solely because of the historical stigma of violent crime in that city. Robberies might happen, so take a tan, Speak Spanish and look poor if you plan on staying in this border town.

Eh, I just thought that I would throw in Plymouth Rock as it's a destination for some people I have met, and I don't think it's worth the bother. I was as disappointed by it as I was with the Spanish Steps in Rome.

Malta? Hiroshima? Georgetown?

Malta is delightful. I have been there twice, and really came to love its capital, Valletta. The climate is excellent, the architect compelling, and it's still a fairly traditional society. You can get around the islands (Malta and Gozo) by bus fairly easily.

I went to Hiroshima for a long weekend when I was living in Asia many years ago. It's a very clean city with a very tranquil vibe.

As for Georgetown, I don't think it's a great city, actually, but I had heard so many negative things about it before I arrived that I was pleasantly surprised to discover that it is not a nightmarish cesspool. It's a laid-back capital with a lot of wooden buildings that are painted white. St. George's Cathedral is one highlight. I didn't feel menaced at any point, although I did avoid Tiger Bay, which people say is a dangerous spot. Be warned, though, if you want to travel overland to Georgetown from the south of Guyana. It is a 17-hour journey by bus, a bus that is nothing more than an old US school bus with no shock absorbers. You will cross dirt roads that will leave you rocking and rolling for many hours.

How were the women there? I remember reading here that you might need to social circle to get women from there? One night stands not too popular?

I was married and faithful when I went to Malta both times. I remember pretty girls, but none so stunning that they remain lodged in my memory. Malta reminds me of a fusion of England and Italy. I have yet to meet anyone who dislikes it, except for one woman who went in August when it is extremely hot.

In Valletta, visit St. John's Co-Cathedral, which has two masterpieces by Caravaggio. Also sample what's on the menu at the Caffe Cordina. Maltese wine is not bad. In addition, Malta is often used for film production, so you might recognize some parts if you have seen the movies Munich, and Midnight Express.

Niagara falls..Basically if you go to any of the clubs near the casinos, they will suck as they are filled with mainly GTA bitches coming to the Casinos. If you actually go to the outskirts of the region, you can find some cool chicks.

If a guy lives in the GTA and wants to change venues within a short drive, I'd recommend Oshawa. Surprisingly extremely hot girls (mostly all white) in a community that's always having economic problems of some sort. It's the ëastern Europe"of the GTA [Image: smile.gif]

Yes your assessment isn't entirely wrong when it comes to Manila. It's true that you have to have a social circle to crack the decent tiers. The city is a mess and Filipino infrastructure is ass.

I'm curious as to how much daygame you did there though. That and social circle is the sweet spot. If a person relied solely on online game they would likely walk away disappointed.

When I read that thread you linked to I do admit that I laughed at guys being surprised at encountering trannies and hoes walking down makati avenue. All this tells me is that someone didn't do their research. What do you expect when you walk down a polluted ass main roadway which connects to a red light district. It's like walking down lower sukhumvit in bangkok and complaining about having some troglodyte with trackmarks and HIV hitting you up for a blowjob.

Comparing Taiwanese girls to Filipinas is like comparing Lebron James to Brian Scalabrine though [Image: tongue.gif] TW, Korean, and Japanese girls are simply on a whole other level.

Most Overrated/Underrated Place You've Been

Overrated: IN BRAZIL: By a long shot FLORIANOPOLIS. I can't tell you how much I regret choosing that spot for 6 months.

I wouldn't even know where to start:

1. AWFUL TRAFFIC AND TERRIBLE ROADS - The traffic is so bad during high season and the roads so bad you can't even get to the beach or anywhere, you're literally stuck in your neighborhood, which by default in Floripa is an hour away from all the other neighborhoods because Floripa. Anyone who has been to Floripa during high season knows exactly what i'm talking about.

If you come to Floripa you are going to spend 40 hours a week in the car.

2. TERRIBLE LOGISTICS - The different party areas are all extremely spread out. To go from one neighborhood to another takes 30-40 minutes or even more if conditions are bad. Also I just can't emphasize how bad a shape the roads are, just AWFUL, I mean even by Brazilian standards. Just to get from my neighorhood in downtown Floripa to Lagoa de concesao, a touristy area about 3km away would often takes 20-30 minutes up and down a mountain. (yes you read that right, 30 minutes to cover 2 miles, I swear I am not exaggerating)

You need a car to get anywhere (no uber, few taxis) and a 5km drive can easily turn into 1 hour+ (seriously). If you do meet a date, you're going to have to drive very far to either hangout with her or pick her up, leaving you feeling like a chump if she cancels along the way. Also the long drives between venues can kill the vibe and and really encourages you to drink and drive (bad!)

3. HARD TO PULL, even if you're good looking (i'm ok), even if you speak Portuguese (i do), even if you have good game (so so for me). It is possibly the only major city in Brazil where its actually pretty hard to get laid. And this is coming from someone who has been to about half of Brazil's major cities and provinces all around the country. I went on more dates in one week in Rio then I did in half a year in Floripa. And before you say its just me. We had a friend come visit who was 6"1 tall, ripped with 6 pack, blonde hair blue eyes, people say he looks like a news reporter. Anywhere else in Brazil he could literally have any girl he wants wihout saying a word. In Floripa he got blown the fuck out with every approach. Competition is fierce.

3. OBSCENLY EXPENSIVE (even in dollars) It is way more expensive then any other city in Brazil including Rio, especially short to medium term housing prices. Condos during high season are outrageously expensive, we got lucky splitting a 3br in downtown Floripa for about $1,500 month each (yes that is a "good deal" in Floripa) but the problem was it was so hard to get to the beaches we just ended up hanging around downtown all the time (and there is very little to do downtown). The clubs are brutally expensive, even with dollar being high right now, its still like $50US to get in and $10US beers to get into shitty club where they play non stop techno to hangout with super elitist Argentinians/Brazilians who are all unfreindly andd have no desire to talk to you.

Also you need a car, and that will get expensive and most def get primary insurance.

4. TERRIBLE WEATHER The weather sucks, in the summer its way way wetter than the rest of Brazil, nonstop rain, and in the winter its way colder than the rest of Brazil.

5. NOT EVEN REALLY BRAZILIAN - Doesn't feel Brazilian at all - People are cold, it feels more like eastern europe or Argentina. Go take a trip to Goiania or around rural Bahia to see how friendly Brazilians can really be.

6. PROVINCIAL / EVERYBODY KNOWS EACH OTHER - If you stayed here for years you could break into a social circle but even then it seems amongst the locals that everyone has their group of friends, and they aren't so keen to include foreigners like they are in Sao Paulo/Rio where it seems like they WANT to include a foreigner in their group to seem cool. Everyone knows each other in this town of 1 million so it means more established groups and less slutty girls since they don't want to soil their rep = bad for you on a 3-4 month stay.

7. NO ENGLISH - Not really a problem for me since I speak fluent Portuguese, but you will find that no one, and I mean nobody speaks English in Floripa, not even waiters speak very much. If you don't speak fluent Portuguese I would much rather suggest Rio or Sao Paulo

TLDR WAY BETTER OPTIONS IN BRAZIL - Its not that Floripa is bad compared to, lets say, Minneapolis or something, of course its not. There is a beautiful beach, beautiful girls to at least look at, and its safer then most Brazilian cities. Not trying to be negative, i'm writing this post out of care to make sure people don't make the same mistake I did when there is so many better options. If you're gonna head that far down there I would pick Itacare, Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo, Belo Horizonte or many other choices that offer better prices, better logistics, better weather, girls that are more down to get down, better public transporation, less spread out, less cliquicy etc.

UNDERRATED: Mexico City, anywhere in Mexico really (Though Guadalajara might be over rated as its pretty boring AF even if suppodusly the girls are better looking than DF). In Brazil, anywhere in Bahia except Salvador (Itacare, Porto Seguro could be a great place to pull too),

Bali - Gets hated on so much but actually has good looking girls from Java ready to get down, good lookin europea and .russia girls who are friendly, great surf for beginner/early intermediate like me, great nightlife, cheap prices, and good weather too. Why all the hate just cause some aussies get to drunk ... whatever.

Bulgaria as a country (Sofia, Plovdiv, and Varna are all excellent choices) - As a country. OK, so I mean the Serbs, the Romanians and possibly even the Hungarians are a bit better looking but Bulgarians are super friendly and there are a lot of stunners and at least a lot of butterfaces with nice curvy bodies and lots of big titties. There is a huge talent pool if you want to hire local developers etc. Low cost of living. Really fast internet. Girls a bit more westernized then the rest of the Balkans = sluttier girls + more English. Most people under 35 speak some English at least. Very cheap tickets anywhere else in Europe. Still not part of Schengen. Very mild winters, esp in Varna and Plovdiv, which have a climate similar to Dallas or Atlanta something like that. The culture is agreeable and so are the people.

I found Bucharest to be overrated, proberly due to all the over hyped stories I've read from here and other places. Yes the girls looks wise fit the bill, but I found there to be too many with bitch shields and being elite/stuck up women, bad ration guy/girl in old town bars aswell . Also theres a big problem with cam girl/prostitution, the amount of everyday girls doing cam shows on the side who live in Bucharest is very high. This has an impact on not only being more financially independant, but due to the online thirst gives them a sence of an overinflated ego.

Whilst being cheap and a good number of places for nightlife, was the dirtyiest city I have visted also as a nonsmoker is not ideal.

Also regarding FLORIPA the incredibly important #8:

8. THERE IS NO SURF IN TOWN AT ALL - For all you surfers out there this was the biggest disappointment of them all and I feel its of pressing urgency to let you guys know this because I'm sure you guys have heard that Floripa is a "surf city" so you may get fooled like I did.

Before I came to Floripa I was well warned it was hard to pull, it was spread out, etc but I figured at least I could practice my surf for a few months ... boy was I wrong. I fell for how Floripa disingenuously markets itself as a big "surf city" Let me set the record straight on that.

First of all there is NO SURF IN THE SUMMER in the main beach breaks, only about 15-20% of the time are there are any waves at all, most days its 100% flat, and even when there is some swell its very choppy with extremely strong onshore winds. The best place to surf is the south island (Campeche and farther south) but even these places really only have steady swells in the winter (july - sept) and if you are in downtown or north island these beaches take 1 hour+ to reach anyways..

Even in the winter the conditions aren't great near Floripa and are best in Garopaba around 100km (see 2 hours) south.

Also, if by some miracle there is surf it will probably be pouring rain and/or traffic will be too shitty to get out of your suburb (see #1, #2 and #4).

OK so lets say there is a fucking miracle and the weather is sunny (20% chance on its own), the traffic is reasonable (10% chance) and will take "only" one hour to get to the beach, and there is good surf (20% chance), this is a "1% miracle" day in Floripa and the beach break will be so crowded with surfers you can't even move because hey, you're not the only one who realized its a miracle.

Also the water is very very cold.

Even in the winter, conditions are hit or miss according to magicseaweed. Compare that to Costa Rica, i'm a dump right now (jacó) but at least there are good smooth waves on about 85% of days. Floripa has the opposite ratio as in in the summer there is no surf unless there is a major storm coming. (think like east coast USA)

TL;DR - There is little surf in Floripa and this whole "surf town" thing is a big BS marketing ploy as there is no surf in the summer and the best beaches to surf are 80 miles away.

If you want good waves in Brazil go to Pipa or Itacaré, much warmer water, more accessible beach, more consistent waves in the summer, and much less crowded. Pipa is a great place to learn how to surf in Brazil and packed with exotic hotties as well (though the town can be a bit elitist). Itacaré is a bit more "hippy" but lots of middle class Brazilian girls from Sao Paulo go there to party and they are the easiest bait in Brazil.
