Here is the situation:

A fuckbuddy of mine told me that I should let my hair grow longer, because it would look so much better. An ex-fuckbuddy had told me the same thing and some female friends of mine as well. Thing is, I think it makes me look like Larry Bird in his prime...

Im sporting rather short hair since like 10 years or so and was quite successfull getting pussy with my style.

So, heres the question: What is more important, listen to female advice regarding your looks? Kinda makes sense, since they are the ultimate reason why we try to look good.
Or, do it your way, sticking to what you think looks smooth? Also makes sense, since, in the end, if you feel good about yourself, pussy will take notice and also appreciate you more.

Dude you ought to be able to tell what looks the best on you.

There is only a handful of styles you can rock.

Try them all out and go with the one that looks the best. IE the one that generates the most IOI's from females.

And ps. If you look like Larry Bird with long hair for god sakes dont grow your hair out.

Thats my problem, I think that I look best with short hair, no doubt, but since I dont want to bang myself, I should probably go with the looks females prefer...

I aint talking about what anyone thinks. Im talking about the facts of the matter.

Some people just dont have an eye for what looks good. I dont want to bang any dudes, but I know what a good looking stylish dude looks like when I see one. First thing that comes to mind is that mother fucker is trying to steal my shit! Or this bar isnt big enough for both of us. lol

If you dont have this eye for what looks good id advise finding someone that does. Preferably a guy. Girls can think and say some weird shit that goes against the grain / norm.
