I registered on this site, tagged.com, but there are sure a lot of fake profiles. Seems like a waste of time. I see some of you recommend for "pipelining" before arriving at a destination.
What techniques have you employed to avoid wasting time with fakers and scammers and laying the pipeline? Is a paid membership ("getting more gold") worth it?

You'd be the first person who's trying to use "tagged.com" to hookup. Who the hell does that? Couchsurfing, okcupid, pof and other dating sites I can understand, even facebook is understandable, but tagged.com - are you kidding me?

I've been on Tagged since August 08, and I've gotten 3 bangs off of it, 2 of them internationals. I use it for setting up internationals in countries I'd like to visit. Early on, Tagged was intended for young people, but it evolved and the average age on the site is actually closer to 30 now (one of the founders, Greg Tseng is his name I think, has an interview of himself posted and he lays out the history of the site). I use it more for meeting internationals as opposed to locals or out-of-staters, and I have some solid communication with quite a few women, many of whom have already said they'd love to meet me. I've already stayed with two chicks I met on the site (one in Rome, the other in Merida, Mexico). The one from Rome is now living in Paris, where I have a standing offer to stay. I have a Peruvian, Argentinian, Colombian, Dominican, 2 in the Netherlands, another Mexican, a couple of Filipinas, a couple of Germans and some Brazilians open to meeting. I have a chick in Singapore that I webcam/videocall with regularly that I met on the site, and continue even now after she left the site (her and a handful of others I friended on Facebook once we had solid communication). I've webcammed with others, and spoke on the phone with others regularly.
The site DOES have its share of fake profiles, but they're easy to sniff out (usually only one photo, very professional-looking, profile isn't filled out, the chick in the picture doesn't look like she's from the location she put down as her home city/country, etc.). There are a fair number of amateur porn bitches, but those are obvious also. You can report bullshit profiles and block them from contact. The site has gotten much better over the years with limiting spammers, and they're always improving it.
I would recommend it for trying to go worldwide. Chicks are looking for friendships, serious relationships, dating, you name it. Online game requires weeding out and patience, with some of the attendant flaking that comes with that. I can say that I've had success with the site. I'm aggressive with initiating contact, and I peruse lots of profiles to try to assess who might be most open to responding, or who I think is interesting by reading profiles and finding something to ask about or refer to when I initiate. Some respond, some don't, but that's the game.

I have yet to buy any gold. I don't think it's necessary. Just focus on contacting chicks you like and see what happens. Most people on this site aren't paying, and folks are hooking up left and right. It's all about finding who is down for it or not.

I find Tagged perfectly suitable for pipelining. I don't think any one person can use another person's experience with a site as their sole gauge of whether or not the site is any good, because you don't know the details of how they're gaming. I've used Tagged to meet women in Canada, Jamaica and Colombia all with success, although its not the best, its FREE.
Different sites are better in different countries, POF has tonnes of women on it in English speaking countries, try looking up women in places like Colombia, France, etc. NADA!
I wouldn't be too quick to write it off, just another weapon in the arsenal.

I would agree with all of what Timoteo says above, at least in regard to the Filipinas. My targets are the Pinays in UAE. It is amazingly easy to log on to the site, message a girl, and be webcamming with her in less than 20 minutes.
Tip: With Pinays, they all seem to have yahoo messenger, plus they nearly all have webcams and LIKE to use them.
