Ogi Ogas: Men's & Women's Sexual Cues

Very interesting talk by Ogi Ogas about men and women's sexual cues and what turns both on, a kind of modern Kinsey Study. #1 most prevalent for girls is the confidence/leadership 'alpha males' emotional qualities. Might be good for helping your friends to see the light. I'm watching it right now.

On further research, it's not so well researched after all.

Ogi Ogas: Men's & Women's Sexual Cues

Basically he got some interesting data from internet website statistics, probably was late on some book deadline and made up a whole bunch of shit to interpret/explain it. It also focuses more on male sexuality and not nearly as much as female sexuality. Lesbians are pretty much not looked at, so we don't get to see if they sexual mirrors of hetrosexual females like homosexual males are to hetrosexual men.

Basic female stereotypes/findings:
* Girls are more about emotional states of a dominant 'alpha' male.
* For girls, physical and mental arousal are not linked necessarily. A girl can be physically turned on, but totally turned off mentally. For guys that's kind of hard to understand, since the two are pretty much linked.
* Girls get turned on when several of their sexual buttons are pushed. Seeing a girls ass might give a guy a boner. Girls need several buttons at the same time to get turned on.
* 'Edward' from Twilight is a female sexual illusion. He's strong, alpha, experienced, can protect bella, desires bella in a primal way (her blood) but holds back, ignores everyone else but her and is a 100 year old in the hot body of a teenager.

Here are the conclusions from the data summarized by one amazon reviewer:
*Although the cultural meme, "Rule 34," (There is a porn site for every taste and twist imaginable) may be true, 95% or more of porn searches congregate around less than a dozen, mostly vanilla, themes.
*Men and women, in broad generalities, have hugely different tastes in and appetites for porn, but homosexuals and heterosexuals do NOT have the significant differences: gay and straight porn for men are almost exact thematically duplicates of each other, and in the same proportions.
*Interest in feet may be considered a fetish, but at least on the internet it is so common as to be on par with interest in, um, more directly-involved body parts.
*Predictably to anyone who has observed the social preoccupation with youth, porn about the barely-legal is the most popular theme of all, accounting for over half of all porn use. Surprisingly, however, porn about sex with those a generation or two older (moms, dads, grannies and grandpas) is popular enough to make the top ten topics.
*Porn featuring hermaphroditic transexuals is popular, but appeals almost exclusively to straight identifying males. It holds little interest for its previously presumed audience of gay men.

You can get a few of the other data tidbits by watching the video.
