"Florida Man" Documentary

With so many characters and news bits coming out of florida I think people just aren't sure what to think of Floridians. People like this are all over the place here..especially by the beaches.

It may just be a video where they interview a bunch of alhoholics and drug addicts then let them ramble, but i'm curious what people outside of the state think of the "florida man".
My mom calls them island rats and hates them with a passion so I've defended them before in verbal arguments, and joke around about these sorts of folks a lot. To me they're just part of the beach culture in florida, and they may be degenerates but they're a part of that culture, and don't harm anybody. I think that these cats are interesting to chop it up with every once in a while and more interesting than the average boring person you meet sometimes. Other times you just think "great another loser from Michigan who came down here? Why the fuck do these people come down here?"

If you read a national newspaper daily, you should be able to put your concerns to rest. Oregon is gaining on you, and it is all home grown.
