Charles Manson is dead

Charles Manson, the man who masterminded one of the most heinous murder sprees in American history -- is dead... this according to the sister of his famous victim. Debra Tate tells TMZ she received a call from the prison telling her Manson died 8:13 PM Sunday.
We're told the prison is contacting all of the victim's families.
Manson was recently wheeled into Bakersfield hospital and escorted by 5 uniformed cops. Our sources had said at the time, "It's just a matter of time." He was covered in blankets and looked ashen in the gurney.
TMZ broke the story ... Manson was taken from Corcoran State Prison to the hospital back in January where he was being treated for intestinal bleeding.
Manson joins the large list of small guys who had no option but to take one for the team. We'll never know for certain the big names among those of the cult he belonged to and who participated in their bloody and grostesque crimes.

I guess Johnnie Cochran has already took his case. I am pretty sure Mr Cochran will make a very solid defense of his client. [Image: lol.gif]

Manson was red pill in his own way. He was born in the 1930s and by the 60s had a history of being in prison as a small time criminal. With his gift for gab, he could pull the wool over the eyes of a bunch of young kids who didn't know anything about life but wanted to be rebels in society. He was the street smart old man of the group educated by the prison system. He certainly was the creator of the cult and its leader.

What the fuck? He was pure filth and should have gotten the death penalty a long time ago. End of story.

Jerry Heller talked about meeting Manson in his book about NWA. He described him as a degenerate 2 bit pimp, and he only had influence over the weak minded. Everyone with a shred of confidence saw right through his bullshit and steered clear.

Don't worry, Mick, that came from the same guy who thinks Islam and North Korea are good for the West.

Agreed. I remember reading through the book Helter Skelter when I was in high school; the shit they did to people was barbaric.

I agree. I was making the case that he was a career criminal who formed a cult in response to the first post which implied some kind of greater conspiracy.

Not a bad songwriter, either. "Look at Your Game, Girl," which Guns N' Roses covered, is not only lyrically clever, but it has a melody and chord progression worthy of Burt Bacharach.

"Cease To Exist," which the Beach Boys covered as "Never Learn Not To Love" was my favorite Dennis Wilson song...until I found out Dennis didn't actually write it, Manson did. That kind of ruined it, and makes listening to anything he did difficult.

But on the other hand, I was recently reading about John Wayne Gacy, a closeted gay serial killer. By comparison, Manson doesn't look so bad, since he mostly orchestrated murders and didn't dismember dozens of boys and bury them in his cellar. So there's that.

I want to know more about how he under the 'protection' of the Aryan brotherhood. He must have tried to play these guys in all the years that he spent in prison, otherwise what else what a sociopath do with so much time in his hands [Image: huh.gif]

He has supposedly lived a whole year with the Beach Boys, in one of the Wilsons' house IIRC. Very murky background/scene, worth looking into.

Manson is always lumped in with the serial killer crowd; in reality, Gary Ridgway (the Green River Killer) and Ted Bundy were far more heinous. Ridgway killed around 50 people and Bundy around 40: they murdered these innocent women with their own hands, receiving a sexual satisfaction as the women died in their arms. Truly evil.

By contrast, Manson never actually killed anyone. He did order people to be killed, which is still heinous. However, I've often felt that we (American society) gave to much credit to Manson's "power" over his followers. If a 5'2 hippie told me to stab a pregnant woman in the belly 50 times, I'd tell him to f*ck off (as 99.9% of society would).

Either way, good riddance...

If there is a "red pill" lesson in Manson it is as an exemplar of the power of persuasion techniques combined with pure sociopathy.

I haven't read Helter Skelter but I imagine that Manson ran his own version of compliance game like David Koresh and other cult leaders in which he would use a ladder of compliance tests and hot/cold behavior to bring people more-and-more under his control over time. I wonder how well his game worked on his fellow inmates? I imagine most of the hardcore psychos in the maximum security lockup with him would already know exactly how that game is played and not be as susceptible to it.
