I've visited many cities in Brazil. If you're looking for good looking girls, head south (Santa Catarina and Rio Grande do Sul) where the girls have European genes. Girls are thousands times prettier and more receptive since they're not used to foreigners like girls from Rio or Sao Paulo. Go to 2nd tier cities from south and you'll love it. A German friend of mine made a tattoo resembling the south!

Is it as easy to kiss and make out with girls in the south as it is in Rio?

To @Cheetah

As I said, girls are less used to foreigners so YES. It is easier than Rio.

@NextStop100

Floripa (Florianopolis) is the capital of Santa Catarina. Don't know if it should be called 2nd tier but girls are pretty there. Just avoid high season. There's a massive influx of tourists and you'll get lower results due to competition.

Have you yourself consistently got make outs within a minute or two from meeting the girl in south of Brazil?

In a nightclub I did consistently. I watch for pretty girls who look interesting and I go talk to them. First impression ain't that nice but when they realize I'm not from there, everything gets easier.

In 2nd tier cities most girls don't speak English so I recommend to practice your Portuguese.

@Mr. Carry:

How come you hate on Brazil so much? Every single post of yours on the topic across multiple threads is a slam.

Is there anything you like about Brazil? Obviously if you don't like it you're free to criticize - I have my own criticisms about the country and culture - but there must be something good you can attest to.

Just trying to get where you're coming from. Because if everything sucks, the problem might be you.

The food is really good thou.

I am from Rio as I told before. I usually go to SP every 3 months or so. So in my honestly opinion both cities sucks. Never been to south or Belo Horizonte so I can't say about it even thou I met a lot of people from there. But being in SP and lived pretty much all my life in Rio I know what to expect.

Talking specifically about Rio, I know how shit works here. Perhaps for a gringo, foreigners might be different but for locals everything change. Rio is a social city and what I mean by that is u must have to know to people. That is the thing. No such space for "lonely wolfness".

Tinder here used to be good but now is a completely disaster. I remember when I lived in UK and Ireland I never had a flake. Meanwhile in Rio is like 30% of girls that I talk. Completely crap. Also the fat culture is hitting hard. There are some good and stunners girls but not rarely they have been in a relationship for ages or they have big attitudes or have been transformed by the feminism shit (which is far worse in Rio than in São Paulo. You know Rio is more lefty than SP).

I would say that girls that I met from Minas Gerais and Santa Catarina are far more open, nicer and cool than what I often see in Rio and São Paulo. Some of my favourites girls that I pulled where from Minas.

Violence is destroying this city. Everywhere is dangerous at the moment. You can already see bars and nightclub getting increasingly empty because people are starting to get too afraid to go out. Few months ago a famous "pizzaria" near to my house got robbed (I live in Flamengo, if you know) and the thieves made the costumers as hostages. Totally crazy!

Also the prices! Last month a Scottish friend came here and stay 2 weeks with me and he was crazy about how expensive is this city. Even with 1 GBP = 4 reais exchange he said it was expensive.

Maybe you don't agree with me but I'm here to talk about my opinions. I'm explaining my views. You are totally fine to not agree and show yours.

I'm not here to slam Brazil as a country because I never been to other parts of it after all. But if people are talking about Rio and São Paulo I will say my thoughts.

Also I love to read the topics about other countries like Poland, Norway, Sweden. Unfortunately my experiences in those countries aren't reliable because when I went there, a couple of years ago, I was a broke student so you know what I was up to haha. So I'd rather comment in the topics about Brazil where I can provide my thoughts.

Anyway if anyone would like suggestions in Rio I can def give. But my opinions about this city have already been said.

A wealthy Rio girl I met in Prague told me that the situation is really really shit, and that was the reason she relocated to Europe. Her whole family is planning to move once they sell their stuff.

She took the decision the SECOND time her car was struck by random bullets while she was stuck in traffic in the middle of a gang fight.

I always considered stories about Rio being overun by anarchy and chaos to be exagerations, but this girls stories put everything into perspective.

PS: also, this girl was more annoyingly feminist than many american girls I've met... wtf?

As most guys here should know, being a foreigner gives you extra points in your SMV (mostly). Go more often to the other cities you mentioned. If you can, move to those greener pastures.

I share most of your opinions about Rio. I think the city is overrated and the nice areas, few. Bunch of guys enjoy the city though and you shouldn't discourage them since for them the experience will be different.

Don't waste your time doing a Rio data sheet since you're going to write as someone who's sick of the place. Do a Belo Horizonte instead. Will be more useful and fun.

Counterpoint: I found Brazil and Rio in particular to be heaven on Earth. Beautiful, easy women. I found it cheap. I never got robbed or had any incidents, but I'm sure they can happen. Would go back. Rio was one of my alltime favorite places, and I've been to 40+ countries.

Eh, common man. Are you really trying to whine about Rio being cliquey? It's one of the biggest cities in the southern hemisphere, and literally one of the biggest tourist destinations in the entire world. Even if the locals were super well integrated and cliquey (which very well might be the case), you could still rely heavily on slutty hostel tourist girls from the west pretty much year round.

Brazil isn't perfect and even as a gringo nowadays it's not easy, but I challenge you to look in the mirror and critique yourself to the best of your ability. Maybe it is you, man. What's your style, and game look like? Could you improve in certain aspects? These are things you need to constantly evaluate. When there's a will there's a way as far as I am concerned. If I can do relatively well in the middle of nowhere midwest U.S, there are no excuses for you not being able to in Rio.

PS: also, this girl was more annoyingly feminist than many american girls I've met... wtf?

I know quite a few very attractive women from means who say moved to Florida or within Brazil like São Paulo, or Curitiba. Keep in mind they had to do this begrudgingly because of the safety issues combined with rising costs in Rio. If you've been middle to middle-upper class in Rio, you're still susceptible to overly inflated costs of living in unsafe conditions that's not exactly on par to the quality of living you can find elsewhere.

Regarding this feminist stuff, many girls in Rio will absolutely disregard (if not hate) on more cosmopolitan cities outside of theirs where the women tend to dress better & take care of themselves. Examples include Porto Alegre, Curitiba, Belo Horizonte, São Paulo, Goiânia, etc.

Anything not related to nature or costal tourism within their country is something automatically disregarded as "not the real Brazil" according to Cariocas (Rio natives). That's pretty ridiculous in my books because countries like Japan/S. Korea are leaders in modern fashion, electronics, automotives, and other industries though are still extremely superstitious and proud of their cultural traditions. "Advancements" doesn't necessarily mean that a society is not proud of their history & culture.

I met many beautiful women from Rio who relocated to Curitiba while residing there. They all moved CWB in order to retain their quality of life without having to pay more just to stay in Rio. However, many of these gals had some of the worst egos because Brazilians as a whole pay homage to Rio by default as being the expensive postcard of the country. There's definitely a status card to it so whatever attractive females come from Rio have huge egos. Not a big deal for me bc I can't stand their accents anyways.

There's a lot of great people in Rio overall.

The ones I've been affiliated with in my past are honestly very well-educated. It's just too bad many of these gals waste their educational background on stupid political correctness. They'll harp on me about how I might mistakenly word a sentence since it's not "gender sensitive" though would be *crickets* when others mention crime in their city.

Let me qualify this. Foreign men get +1.5-2 points for some (a significant proportion of) Brazilian women in comparison to the same looks/status/game Brazilian guy. This is especially true in terms of how foreign men can bypass the need for a strong social circle game. You just need to figure how to use this power to your advantage.

Coming to the internet and complaining about how the country sucks and making us feel sorry for you won't solve anything. But why don't you keep doing it. Might score some internet brownie points.

Mensch, I've never been to Brazil but I've been to many countries in Latin America and a few in Asia. People for some reason say that a western white guy or foreigner of another race can just stroll into a country with no game and score hotties, or at the very least date significantly up. I've never found this to be true, a fat geek with a few bucks in his pocket might be able to snag some barrio sloot/prepago but does that really count?

From what I've seen, travellers or expats have a disadvantage when dealing with upper class girls in most countries.

I'm not saying you are a bitter local but it is usually bitter locals who say these type of things about foreign guys.

It really depends on "where" in Brazil as well. I looked at your profile as it mentions that you're originally from Brazil while living in Europe now.

Many local Brazilian men will just assume that foreigners should by in large just kill it in their country which is not the case. Yeah Brazilian women can be intrigued by foreigners but they're not automatically putting out in the more developed cities.

I'm an Asian guy that did well in Curitiba since I speak Portuguese fluently from my intensive studies before living there. However, I lost out on MANY gals when saying that I was American. I did exponentially better saying that I was straight up from Taiwan (not an outright lie bc I spent my adolescent years there) because women saw me as less of a threat and as more of a noble guy who was vested in their country.

I straight up lost count of how many gals I could've dated (notches) when these gals digged my confidence & language abilities only to hear me say "sou dos Estados Unidos" instead of "sou da Asia." It's a really weird phenomenon that's hard to really grasp until you've lived through it.

You gotta keep in mind that the better looking women from more developed cities like a Porto Alegre, Goiânia, Belo Horizonte, etc typically have this insecurity about coming off as easy to westerners from "first world" countries. You have to consider the cultural & language barriers as well. Best gals in Brazil are surrounded by their choice of good looking guys from well off families that:
1) speak the same language natively
2) can touch the right buttons emotionally, mentally, and physically
3) provide a sense of comfort that some clueless foreigner cannot

I didn't do it much but had some time hanging out with other foreigners from say Germany, Australia, and Netherlands that struggled getting the best talent or just a good rotation going on.

It's likely different in the Northeast where some western foreigner can kill it with the "White God Factor" though the talent level takes a big dip.

Brazil = shit. Do not bang Brazil.

Saw this thread and couldn't resist commenting.

Brasil is probably my favorite place, and I've been lucky enough to travel a lot. Been going to Rio for many years, and feel like I know my way around. Rio's going through a rough time right now, but I have faith in the people and am optimistic that they will tough it out.

I think the OP here just had some bad experiences, and this happens sometimes when you travel. I'm sorry he had a bad experience. Some countries just speak to you, and some don't. That's just the way it is.

The crime has gotten a lot worse here than when I first started coming here in 2009. A lot worse. I was talking to a girl I know a couple days ago who lives near Pavuna (in Rio). She tells me that the trafficantes are getting bolder by the day, even starting to shoot into military bases.

I was there a few weeks ago. I made sure I stayed in a decent, secure place in Leblon. I never used to pay much attention to that sort of thing, but I am now. You have to be careful, and that's just how it is.

Tinder has also gotten a bit tougher. A few years back, you could be assured of a great pool of potentials. It still is decent, but the quality has gone down a bit. Not a huge drop, but a little. More trannies, more garotas da programa, more time wasters, more flakes. It's not dead by any means, but you do notice the decline from a few years back.

But even with all that, I'll never give up on Rio. The simple reason is that I love the people. I love the smiles, the irrepressible optimism, the social culture, all that. I like hearing Portuguese and being around it, since it reminds me of where I grew up. This may even sound strange, but I like the whiff of savagery in the air. I feed off of it. It reminds me that I'm human. I love the damp feel of the early morning, with the vague scent of rotting vegetation in the air.

So that's it. I love the people, the women, everything. I'll never give it up.

So find a place in this world that speaks to you.

And have a dialogue with it.

Maybe the confusion is this. I never said that it's a walk in the park; you will always need game.

I was being facetious when I said 'you suck at life', but if you are a fat geek, 'you suck at life', if you believe you can bang women with no game because you are a foreigner 'you suck at life', and in Brazil, if you cannot figure out the specific strategic advantage conferred by your foreign status and how to use it 'you suck at life'.

Game will never be the same for foreigners and locals, anywhere, and in Brazil is no different: one night stands and casual sex are easier for a foreigners (if you know how to do it), relationships are *MUCH* harder. But game will always be necessary. It's your duty to use all tools at your disposal to achieve your goals.

And about being a bitter local: I'm partially Brazilian and grew up partially in Brazil and partially in Europe and the US. My foreign status is fuzzy but I can still use it somewhat (more now that I haven't lived in BR for many years). Most foreigners that I know of banging Brazilian chicks are my friends that have come to visit and I am more than happy for them.

I won't deny that the 'foreign game' in Brazil is its own particular animal. That in terms of long term relationships it is much harder for foreigners, and that if you are non-white it will hurt you (but it will hurt you much less than being a non-white Brazilian, that being the comparative). But once you figure out the correct pace that game has to take (very fast), and how to use the receptiveness effectively you can do very well.

If you need to know, I grew up partially in Porto Alegre, partially in England. My parents are half German, half Brazilian. My observations come mostly from seeing friends I have over. I'm not a club guy, but I'd go to clubs with friends just because I know it's where they'll have success.

BUT the real point is that all these intricate discussions about pussy in Brazil are irrelevant if you keep enabling the kind of attitude that the OP has. That's why I was being so forceful.
