i understand martial arts are a common favourite here, but is there anything else? i failed hip hop dance auditions, now i'm thinking mountaineering...
there's all kinds of societies and clubs in university, but not alot of beer pong and dorm orgies going on, we're a pretty conservative asian bunch...

Skydiving club. Ironically, it wasn't as cool as it sounds. I never saved money, and I didn't even meet many girls through it. It did motivate me to jump more often though.
Definitely join some type of community service club. It'll look good on your resume. I regret not doing much service when I was in school.
Also join the triathlon club. You'll link up with people who will motivate you to work harder and stay healthy.
Find out if there's a rock climbing club. Rock climbing is the SHIT.

Look for clubs where people regularly party together, and where the people are cool. The more time-intensive the club, the better the connection you'll make.
I recommend fraternities, club sports and business frats. Some on-campus jobs are cool too. Clubs devoted to art appreciation. Martial arts can be rewarding, but the girls are few, and at least at my school, the connections weak.
My school had a museum on campus with tons of girls in the club running it, but I didn't care enough to keep going.

I'm about to check out some international student clubs at my school. See if I can bang some foreign girls and welcome them to the states.

OK, so i hear sports, partner dancing and frats(good choice, though no frats exist on my side)
Anymore suggestions?
I just found out that my uni has a toastmasters and i'm pretty excited about that. Surprised, too, that no one's suggested it, isn't PR and public speaking an extremely worthwhile skill to hone? Any recommendations on PR/public-speaking-intensive clubs and societies?
