Bartenders Can't Refuse Pregnant Women Alcohol, NYC Says

Once she gets pregnant, her rights no longer matter. What matters is the rights of the child. If she can drink when she is pregnant then what one is saying is that it's her right to drop that baby (once born) in a vat of boiling water if she so choose. Anyone backing that should be..well..dropped in a vat of boiling water..

He appointed Azadeh Khalili executive director of the newly created Commission on Gender Equity.

Her job description includes reviewing city policies through a "gender lens" to see how those policies impact "women, transgender and intersex individuals, and men" in order to achieve greater fairness among the sexes.

She’ll make $140,000 a year...

Absolutely average salary if she lives in Manhattan. Garbage workers in NYC make $100,000/yr. http://money.cnn.com/2016/02/24/news/eco...-high-pay/

Maybe the bartenders could just troll these pregnant women so hard for wanting to do this.

"Ma'am, when you look at your sonogram, and see the outline of their young face, hear the heartbeat- do you consider him/her to be a real person or do you need the birth day of your baby to admit that?"

"Yes, that's my baby inside me"

"Ok well the legal drinking age for both of you is 21. My cousin bought his underage sister alcohol one time and got in a lot of trouble. I don't want to get in trouble with the police or lose my job by serving a minor. Oh- If you need cigarettes, we don't sell those here anymore. You need to go to the 7-Eleven for those. What can I get for the rest of your group?"

What annoys me most about things like this and other "Women's Freedom Issues" is that when they fuck up its ALWAYS taxpayers like me who have to foot the bill!
No doubt that when the baby is born messed up it's mine and your tax dollars that are gonna go to taking care of it! Just so little snowflake can live la vida loca even when she's preggers!

These people are truly parasites.

What can possibly be bad about "equal rights", they said...

Under the guise of feminism, private businesses owners in NYC must give pregnant women fetal-alcohol brain syndrome inducing abortions, or get run out by the law.

Admittedly I'm no expert on pregnancy, but getting piss drunk in bars can't be good for the baby?

Well ya, what about the baby's rights? It's a fragile and defenceless human, completely dependent on its mother to survive. "Oh well, you know a woman has a right over HER body" These people are fucking mad.

That 100k a year doesn't go very far when:

Anyway, about this story, it doesn't surprise me. I took an alcohol certification class when I was 19 intending to be a waiter and they told us that we couldn't refuse service to pregnant women it was up to the bar. I lost any ambition of being a waiter that day.

You have to understand that as we progress towards becoming a Utopia™, it isn't about making rational decisions around what is best for the survival of human civilization as a whole, it is about what makes me feel good right now.

No limitations are given anywhere. She can drink however much she wants.

It's way too optimistic of human impulses to presume that a person who can't stop drinking while pregnant has the self control to stop at one glass of wine to begin with.
