Missoula is a strange town. It probably sounds like a shit location being in montana and all but its actually a pretty nice little college town town. I lived here for a few years and had a blast.

Stuff to do: ski area 15 miles from town called snow bowl, its a pretty shit resort to be honest but the close proximity makes it alright.

Theres another ski area called lost trail an hour and a half drive near the idaho border, lost trail is a hidden gem with slow two man lifts but some great terrain. There is also lookout pass ski resort not too far from town that can be fun.

If you are into fly fishing, missoula is an amazing area to fish. The clark fork river runs right through town and the bitterroot, blackfoot, and an area called rock creek are all right around town. Everyone in town tubes these rivers en masse so its almost like a big party floating down, the best float route is on the blackfoot river called johnsrude, it has some fun little rapids and without fail at a certain stretch at least one girl in the group would got thrown off a tube and start crying.

There is a park in the middle of town called caras park that during the summer has activities a couple times a week. Anything from little bullshit concerts to beer fests and theres always shitloads of chicks at these prowling for some wang. Theres also a bigass concrete wave built in the river right next to the park for kayaks.

There is a ton of hiking spots, as missoula is basically surrounded by mountains. There is a pretty nice hotsprings not far out of town called lolo hot springs that you pay a few bucks to get into with manmade pools. If you keep driving over lolo pass to the clearwater river ( you can catch big steelhead out of this) there are natural hotsprings a few miles off the road that are amazing called jerry johnson hotsprings. Sometimes there are nudists here, ive seen anything from a pack of female swedish exchange students frolicking naked to fat loggers with their schlong flopped.

If you drive south of missoula to the bitteroot valley theres a hiking trail with a creek between almost every mountain. These creeks are full of brook trout and cutthroat trout. Tons of deer and elk everywhere, i have seen black bears and mountain lions but there is no grizzly bears. Moose are pretty common though and are mean. I would reccomend a handgun for hiking around.

There are two good breweries in town, kettlehouse and big sky that both have some decent signature shit.

Night life/food: the night life is pretty easy to figure out, just go downtown and all the bars are clustered together. I cant think of any food here that blew me out of the water, lots of shitty ethnic food and burger cafes. There are little shitty casinos EVERYWHERE, they serve you free beer and mix drinks to gamble so me and my buds would throw a five in a nickel keno machine and suck down as much booze as we could off it. Lots of little sluts you can pick up that work in these things.

Girls: UM is a liberal arts college, whereas the other state school MSU is more engineering. Most of the girls go to um. These are chicks that went to small rural highschools scattered across the state and when they get to college are ready to cut loose. Some of these small town girls are the biggest hos i have ever seen, their only access to "city life" is tv and internet so they start hoeing young and hard. There is also a lot who are virgins going into college who were raised right and are into church etc. lots of these girls are athletes too.

The ratio is great in this town, there are girls everywhere, mostly white girls. There is a decent sized native american population but most of these girls are ROUGH in every sense of the word but i have met a few sexy ones. If you are black and in ok shape prepare to be swamped with attention, its an almost all white state. My best friend growing up was adopted from ethiopia and when he stayed with me had to beat them off with a stick.

If anyone has any questions post or pm me. Im on a phone so i didnt go in depth as i could.

I have also lived in Billings, Bozeman, and am familiar with the rest of the state if anybody is curious about the other parts of Mt. I could also do a sheet on couer delane idaho, or bellingham WA.

LDS, excellent work. As an Indian-American with minimal game and not great physique, I was surprised about the number and quality of IOI's I got in Missoula (including ONS from a 7 at the doubletree on the river) and Boise.

Non elite brown guys need to get out of the north east and west coast and go into the mountain states and upper midwest.

Certainly do a data sheet on bellingham - I definitely need to get some time freed up to come up and grab a beer with you when I have a weekend free.

A data sheet on CDA, or even the whole panhandle of ID would be legit. Ive only passed through a couple of times either moving or looking at properties in the smaller towns so it would be nice to hear from someone with more boots on ground time.

I think the PNW could use as many data sheets as we can get, I think its underrated depending on your point of view.

I've been thinking about a move to montana when I get a little older. I'm interested in hearing what you think the best city is between Bozeman, Missoula, billings, etc.

Yes guys the northwest of the us is a very nice part of the country, beautiful scenery and things to do if youre an outdoorsman. Some of the hunting trips ive taken out on remote, giant ranches were just surreal.

Montana is very much still a wild place, its easy to leave town and be in the middle of nowhere in no time flat. The girls there are a real throw back, its like everyone is in a different era there.

@General Mayhem, personally i would choose Missoula because its just more my type of town and i feel as if i vibe with the people there more than Billings and Bozeman. Bozemans biggest draw is the fact yellowstone is in it's backyard, MSU which has a legit engineering program, and the fact it has some of the best flyfishing in the world. There are five amazing rivers within a 30 mile radius of the town. Never seen anything like it.

You can drive 10 miles out of town and be catching giant browns, watching moose wade the river and dodging mountain sheep on the highway. There are tons of very rich people that flock to bozeman. Yellowstone club which is somehow affiliated with Bill Gates is a community up near the ski mountain that has 500 very, very, wealthy people living there. They have their own private ski area in the community, with some of the houses being right near the chairlifts. I did some concrete work up there and my jaw dropped when i saw some of these houses, they were mind boggling.

Bozeman also has big sky/moonlight basin which are two very nice ski areas which you can buy a combined season pass for ($1600 though) which gives you access to the largest acreage ski area in the lower 48. There are a few decent terrain parks and a good halfpipe as well. I loved the layout, but after living in Western Washington the comparitively low amount of snowfall just didnt cut it for me.

The downsides of Bozeman is that its really small, and the huge ski scene coupled with the engineering focus of the school makes the town a giant sausage fest. It is nice being so close to yellowstone, there were more foreigners than americans last time i was there. Decent spot to try for some new flags.

Billings is a strange, strange place.. When i describe it to people i tell them to picture a gigantic trailer park out in the desert, surrounded by indian reservations. That being said it is actually a pretty fun town, it seems almost lawless like a frontier cowboy town or something. That lawless vibe got a big boost when the bakken oil field started to thrive. There are roughnecks from all over the globe drifting in and out for oil work. Im not sure what its like now with oil down so low, but when i was there these guys would show up ready to raise hell with their pockets stuffed with money. I remember playing no limit hold em in a casino and feeling like i was in the star wars cantina or something haha.

The downside to Billings is that the remoteness, the oil fields, and all the reservations make it damn near a beacon for drug peddlers. All these things combine to make drugs an expensive and highly in demand commodity. There is a lot of cartel types floating around and with them comes crime.

The girls in Billings were in general trashier than the rest of the state. Lots of good looking girls that unfortunately get hooked on drugs and sucked into the soul crushing vortex of the montana judicial system.

Another downside to Montana is that its hard to make a living. The wages are low and the economy isnt the greatest. Other than being self employed the best work available is probably either in the mines or the oilfields. If you can get a job in the bakken though, a lot of the shifts run two weeks on, two weeks off, with lots of hours and overtime being jammed i to your two weeks on. Amenities are cheap though. In 2008 i had a nice two bedroom apartment in Missoula for 500, which included cable, water, and power.

Overall it is a beautiful, yet desolate state. Montana is one of the states with the highest suicide rates and has more space than people. It covers a ton of land, but only has a little over a million populatiom. If youre into hunting and freshwater fishing i dont think theres a better state in the lower 48 and driving into some of the small towns scattered across the state is like cruising into the 1950's. The winters are also fairly harsh compared to the west coast which i was used to. Its almost as if there is only two seasons in MT, summer and winter.

Again if anyone has any questions dont be afraid to ask here or pm me. I explored most of the state while i was living there and have a prettt good feel for it. One last thing i should add is DONT get in trouble here, it has an extremely corrupt judicial system and the prisons are littered with people that came through on vacation, got what would be a minor drug charge in another state, and end up wasting years of time trying to get their lives back together.

Again, if you are black add a few points to youre attractiveness scale. There is a large subset of GOOD LOOKING white girl on the hunt for some dark meat.

How good is Helena, MT compared to Missoula (in regards to college girls)? I remember visiting Helena when I was like 15 and I fell in love with the city due to its charm, however charm doesnt mean females.

How did you go about gaming while in Missoula? Would the things written by OP work for a brown guy also?A friend and I are heading to Helena and Missoula and your post was inspiring, howoever we are going end of June so the universities will be relatively empty.
