Actually, the biggest red flag was the subject heading - "Benefits of Feminism for RVFers". Immediately, my spidey sense was tingling with "Troll Alert!". Subject heading was a dead giveaway.

Last night H3ltrsk3ltr and I were out and this thread came up. We each had our own ideas about the OP's intent. I said autistic and H3ltrsk3ltr had a conspiracy type idea about a poor attempt at causing dissent amongst our ranks. While we were discussing the finer points of each, it dawned on me. HS's ideas made me think back to this prior thread.

It is the "How to destroy a forum" thread. It looks to be technique #2. What I find the most interesting was how it was a new member, dropping pointed concerns with buzzwords, designed to divide our thinking, and trying to use the labeling system (male feminist, true player, innovative Casanova) to also cause rifts. Another observation was how they'd use many accounts to set up a thread like this, bring up old threads to bury other ones.

I could be looking to far into this perhaps. Plus I know the OP is already banned, and many members here have excellent bullshit detectors. The fact remains, this site is still the target to others out there. It may have seemed like a harmless troll, but it serves as a pawn in the grand scheme of things. Here's to all of you staying on your toes!

You're right, SP, the forum is very switched on, and most thread participants instantly-knew what was up. I want to lay this clearly-out because I think suspect some less-experienced members think I was unfairly-using my position to bully 'him'.

This was a clear attempt at SJW Subversion / Trolling, which is why I:

1. deliberately-baited them to get on their radar;
2. forcing them to directly-challenge me;

WHY I WAS SUSPICIOUS

I'm leaning more towards 'DecentFella' being a woman, for a few reasons:

- suggesting men should desire in m/f interactions exactly what a woman would want from men (romantic-comedy-style 'snark then fuck' banter i.e. 'he respects me for my intelligence and moxie even though I can't outwit him')

- over-complicated back story for the fantasy construct, i.e. 'Haven Monahan'

- less-formalised paragraph structure

- exclamation marks make a statement funny!

- inability to make and back up firm beliefs, particularly when challenged

- vagueness of thought: "I'm X, but I'm also Y!"

- the use of 'intolerant'

- overdramatic and theatrical presentation, i.e. 'Brothers and Seniors...'

- accusations of cult-like thinking

- sermons from the cross: i.e. "I guess I'll continue to do so being active or inactive"

- the 180 degree swerve

- 'you laughing at me means I'm actually winning': " I definitely did touch quite a few nerves".

- sowing seeds of conflict: "can confirm that from the sounds of it No Alpha or True Player or a Casanova has replied to this thread yet." Remember, this is something women are far more skilled at than men.

- "Even though I said I don't care, I have to get the last word in so you realise just how much I don't care!"

Almost all of these are behavioural process common in women.

Note that I don't deliberately-troll members, and this is only the second time I think I've done it.

I wanted 'DecentFella' to call me out so I could go head to head with her, so I dismiss the importance of what she's targeted as a likely Fracture Point to exploit to cause membership conflict: the forum ranking / title system. I didn't need to waste much time after this, because I knew the unravelling and eventual ban was a certainty by this point. They don't understand the normalcy of either sex.
