What's the deal with Aussies in Asia...?

I don't think the recently banned dude was a Tonipepperoni reincarnate.

TP mediated excessively on the cultural and intellectual degeneracy of Australia, a panopticon, both a prison of design and a prison of the mind. His philosophical angle coupled with fine appreciation of piano playing, Pushkin reading Russian women and apparent worldliness as an expat in London, among other European capitals, saw his stocks soar and rep points stream in. That is, until he overdid it massively. Increasingly embittered, he began lashing out as members grew tiresome of his incessant and heavily overdone ramblings centred only on the topic of Australia being the worst place in the world (despite evidence from Human Development Index indicating it's not really that bad). The ban hammer crushed him as soon as his value giving persona proved a mere facade.

Ya Pamplona wasn't quite as pompous as Tonijiberoni, that guy was on some next level arrogance, highly entertaining but a huge dickhead.

Do Aussie women also have a stigma about being with Asian men?

I hear about it a lot, but I'm Asian and nearly all the local girls I've dated are white, I have never encountered any issue. However, I'm also atypical for Asians and those girls often say that I look mixed (w. Spanish/Portuguese). I've never dated a bogan though, mostly because the accent kills my boner on the spot. Usually they're girls from small towns, hipsters or private school educated.

The only time it was somewhat an issue was this white Anglo chick who was into anime and other cute Asian pop BS, and expected me to appreciate all that while I couldn't care less. She was the female equivalent of a white guy with yellow fever. Still got the bangs, but she was kinda complaining the whole time about how I wasn't quite Asian enough...

Years ago I'd get something like "you're the first Asian I've been with" or "I didn't know that you like white girls" but it's never brought up these days.

I know a lot of Asian guys who date mostly white girls, just like myself. Race is never really an issue, but of course we have just as many problems getting a hot girl as guys from other backgrounds, as well-documented on this site in the Australia threads.

I also know a lot of Asian guys who pedestalise white pussy and think it is really hard to get some, so they turn it into a huge deal.

Lot's of great comments in this thread. I always noticed it was mostly the lower class Aussie guys who only do their vacations in SEA (not all of course) and the hipster/middle class that go to Europe/America/etc. The competition here is sky-high, as most guys have already mentioned.... and it's a shame the average Aussie guy doesn't even know that the grass is greener once you go overseas.

I had the chance to visit Jamaica last yr (flight was super expensive at ~$2600aud), and it's a helluva lot different over there than here.

There is a stigma of inferiority associated with going for a Thai girl: Almost an unspoken rule that if you can't get an Australian girl you're a loser. Clearly Australian women have conjured this one up.

This type of shaming happens in the US as well. It's pure envy in my opinion. Tell a girl you fucked a few girls in Colombia or SE Asia, and she'll assume that this girl lived in a shack without running water/electricity or something and you were "taking advantage" of them. We all know this is far from the truth.

Men choosing foreign women causes a lot of rationalizing and shaming.

Women usually take it personally. Dating a foreign woman = rejecting all western women = rejecting her since she is a western woman = hamster on steroids

Humans are animals. Our subconscious minds are focused on survival and mating. Men opting out of western women is a threat to the western woman's ability to do both. Even if she is a you-go-girl-careerist her subconscious mind is still in charge and views men as necessary for survival.

I think the trend of men leaving the west is just getting started. Western women are getting worse, SJWs are taking over, and the ability to work remotely over the internet is getting easier. For every 1 man leaving now there will be 10 or 100 leaving in the next few decades. Female and beta politicans will make laws to make leaving more difficult.

From reading your other posts, you're pretty jacked aren't you? This would make you stand out from a majority of the Asians in Australia. And as said by other posters here, the competition is pretty fierce for guys here in that regard.

So true, the worst part is trying to explain to a untraveled Aussie what's it's really like in EE. It's like trying to explain a colour to someone whose colourblind.

I have to attest, Ozzie guys are the real deal. I'm currently in Melbourne for a business trip, Oz's 2nd biggest city, and just walking around in the CBD, the guys here completely blow away the competition from around the world. They are tall, fashion concious, socially savvy, confident and every second guy (in the 18-40 range) is hitting the gym hard.

Apparently Melbourne is supposed to be Oz's hipster capital, and while there are quite a few hipsters here, I see more jacked guys. You'd expect the guys that predominantly work out are white, but this isn't the case here. I've never seen so many jacked Indians, Asians, etc in my life. Also suprisingly, at least in the CBD, there are plently of attractive women here. Obesity is non-existent. Lots of hot and slim women walking around by themselves.

Its a tough market here. You have to be in top form to compete. Your looks, physique, lifestyle, confidence, money, etc have to be maxed out as much as possible to give yourselves a chance. If you can find a niche, that would make life a lot easier. If you plan on cold approaching like you would in Poland to gather notches, be prepared for an uphill battle, the competition is fierce.

But here's the truth, if you can gather notches through cold approaching here, the world is your oyster. There's no doubt you'll be more successful elsewhere in the world. It'll at the least, battle-harden you

Yeah I am, and come to think of it, most Asian guys I know who have no problem with white girls are either athletic or jacked or both. The others are dancers or photographers.

This is true and it's kind of amusing when you think about it.

The things that appeal to the broad sensibilities of anglo women are either just pure physical appeal (being jacked) or a profession that makes money off attention whores and attention whoring (photography, dance, acting, music, etc..)

The mindset really is just that basic.

I second the notion that the female bogan Australian accent is one of the worst features that an Australian woman can have - it's not very charming and can be painful on the ears.

Australians do tend to have a heard mentality with travelling abroad - the cheap flights to Bali and Thailand tend to attract groups such as Rugby/Aussie Rules teams, bachelor/bachelorette parties, bogans and shelias who simply want to get shitfaced in another country.

The Aussie groups in Western Europe tend to revolve around the Contiki/Topdeck tours which feel like a bubble in a much greater world. I ended up mostly socializing with the Americans and South Africans on a tour a while back as they seemed to be more interesting to talk to, were more interested in exploring and seemed more open and friendly, rather than the Aussies who seemed to very cliquey and only socializing with each other.

Seems kind of odd that some Aussie guys would travel half-way round the world to hook up with the same low-class Aussie girls one could find at the neighbourhood pub.

I've noticed the same thing up at Whistler (aka Whistralia) where Aussie guys and girls seem to hook up with each other - noting that the Aussie women there are mediocre at best compared to the heavy-hitting Aussie dudes.

Notwithstanding the broad-sweeping paint brush I have used above, I know plenty of Australians who are currently based abroad (Canada, Germany, United States, France) who are some of the smartest and most accomplished people that I know, and are far-removed from the bogan stereotype.

The competition in Melbourne is completely over the top. 50% of the guys are hitting the gym hard, and very fashion conscious. However, the women are essentially absent. They spend so much time shopping and at the gym that most are completely cultureless and braindead.

I grew up in Melbourne and have always regarded it as a hard place - but a place where your efforts could be rewarded. Previously, the town was filled with European women fleeing the GFC. Now, its full of middle easterners, indians and chinese.

Because of the high cost of housing, women are not planning to settle down, despite the large amount of men.

Avoid.

How does high cost of housing influence women's attitude there? Wouldn't it be cheaper to rent an apartment as 2 people as opposed to 2 single ones?

A good point. In most cities it would, however in Australia 40% of the population are concentrated in two major cities - Sydney and Melbourne. The high cost of housing just means women live at home forever, instead of moving out and living the cheap student lifestyle - their parents already live here, whereas in other cities travelling to a new town for college, work etc. is much more common.

As a consequence women's personal development is delayed, and meeting a successful man is of little relevance.

You'll also find that most families in Australia purchased their real estate when it was the equivalent of around one years wages.

As an example: My parents had the opportunity to purchase a house in a harbour side suburb of sydney for $60,000 in the 80s [They didn't buy it]. Back then the average wage was around 30k.

Today that home is worth 8 million and the average wage is 55k. Essentially the baby boomer generation of Australia had all the opportunity and now most of the younger generations are faced with the fact that even a lifetimes earnings won't pay off a home until they are in their 70s.

As a result many live at home or purely rent.

Ah, but an American would understand how Aussies travel because culturally we are far closer to the US and Canada then we are to Other anglophone countries.

Young Australian male travellers fall strictly into two categories.

The bogan package tourist: goes to Kuta, Phuket, Las Vegas etc. starts drinking at 10 pursues drugs, gets so fucked ends up either passing out, fucking a fat bitch or a hooker

The backpacker; travels solo or with his girlfriend. Absolute beta, listens to triple J and thinks he is the shit because he believes in feminism. Hipsters or Uni students usually.

I think Americans follow very similar lines.

That radio station is the most watered down weak shit I've heard in my life

Why has Australian property got expensive ?
I thought it was a huge country with only 20m population. Land is supposed to be cheap and abundant. Plenty of spaces to build not like Asian cities such as Hong Kong.

But if 8m are living in big cities that sure pushes prices up for average families. Especially costal areas. I would guess no surfer or water sports enthusiast wants to live in the inland areas.

On the plus side, if people are owning some property in Australia it would have gone up in value and they can afford these Thailand and Bali holidays which are relatively cheap.

Off topic but Melbourne FM radio especially the stations with a younger listeners are stocked full of males with effeminate high voices. While the females have masculine deep voices. The male defers to the female on every topic.
