This is actually a positive thing.

Because one of the worst things you can do as a citizen of the free world is attempt to BAN BOOKS.

You wanna talk about being on the wrong side of history? Everyone who has ever attempted to ban a book, ever, has come out looking like a fool. And an oppressive fool at that.

I'm hoping Taki's Mag or one of the other alternative right outlets sees this and names names about these New McCarthy-ites who are attempting to BAN BOOKS. David Futrelle, it seems, is behind this campaign. Let's name names.

If Roosh's books do get banned from Amazon, when the annual BANNED BOOKS WEEK comes up Sept. 27-Oct. 3, he should be the cause célèbre for all free speech advocates -- perhaps even on the left. Because nothing more should get true lefties in an uproar than something like this. If y'all are reading: Today it's Roosh. Tomorrow it could be you or me.

As much as I dislike the anti-male calls to violence by such radical feminist authors as Valerie Solanas, I would never call for their books to be pulled from Amazon or any library. Hopefully, free speech advocates will feel the same when it comes to Roosh.

The only result of this idiotic petition is that Roosh will get more

By the way, I can bet that Manboobz mangina never saw a woman

A lot of these type of people are anti-Bible and Christianity so I'm sure they would love to be able to ban the Bible.

A better tactic would be to ask them if they want to ban the Koran. Why are they mocking Roosh's cherished Islamic beliefs?

Because it would subvert their own ideologies. Seldom do people defend the truth. However, ideologies are the opposite.

Someone is already trying to do that here in the US, but on the basis that it promotes some sort of hate speech against gays. There has been a lawsuit filed against a larger bible publisher in the wake of marriage equality.

Roosh's Canadian experience pushed the envelope when it comes to free speech in Canada, in the 30+ years that free speech has been enshrined into the Canadian Charter of Rights, there haven't been many others who have garnered as much attention in this country as he has over the past couple of weeks. I can only think of two other foreigners who have caused such a free speech ruckus in Canada in recent years: Anne Coulter and George Galloway. If Roosh's time in Canada results in as much media exposure and clicks than these two figures, then I would consider his operation a resounding success from a Canadian perspective. In the era of Twitter, internet SJWs and other various anti-free speech shit heads in Canada, I thank Roosh for raising awareness, especially during an election year, to our lack of free speech in a seemingly "free country."

If these clowns are triggered by a book like Bang, I'd love to see what would happen if they ever took a semi-comprehensive Latin course and encountered the Ars Amatoria. Plenty of exhortations there entirely consistent with Roosh's advice.

Ovid's Metamorphoses is already deemed to be triggering. I hope they don't discover his other work.

http://columbiaspectator.com/opinion/201...classrooms

Quote:Quote:

During the week spent on Ovid’s “Metamorphoses,” the class was instructed to read the myths of Persephone and Daphne, both of which include vivid depictions of rape and sexual assault. As a survivor of sexual assault, the student described being triggered while reading such detailed accounts of rape throughout the work. However, the student said her professor focused on the beauty of the language and the splendor of the imagery when lecturing on the text. As a result, the student completely disengaged from the class discussion as a means of self-preservation. She did not feel safe in the class. When she approached her professor after class, the student said she was essentially dismissed, and her concerns were ignored.

Ovid’s “Metamorphoses” is a fixture of Lit Hum, but like so many texts in the Western canon, it contains triggering and offensive material that marginalizes student identities in the classroom. These texts, wrought with histories and narratives of exclusion and oppression, can be difficult to read and discuss as a survivor, a person of color, or a student from a low-income background.

The commentary on the article you linked is encouraging, at least. Every snowflake trying this bullshit on in the thread is getting shat on from great heights from alumni, current students, and members of the public.

Hypocrites. That is what these people are.

A list of books that are currently for sale on Amazon:

1. Mein Kampf - no, the ideas espoused in there never hurt anyone: http://www.amazon.com/Mein-Kampf-Vol-II/...mein+kampt

2. The Communist Manifesto - again, those ideas were completely harmless and hurt absolutely no one: http://www.amazon.com/Communist-Manifest...+manifesto

3. The Pivot of Civilization by Margaret Sanger - it advocates for eugenics and racial purity (enforced by the state no less), years before Hitler did the same thing (but she's a hero to the SJWs because she helped found Planned Parenthood): http://www.amazon.com/Pivot-Civilization...vilization

4. The Protocols of the Elders of Zion - ghost written by pretend "Jewish" authors to allege a Jewish and Masonic conspiracy for world domination and favourite tool of anti-Semites for years afterwards: http://www.amazon.com/Protocols-learned-...rs+of+zion

5. Quotations from Chairman Mao Tse Tung - yeah, he was a good guy: http://www.amazon.com/Quotations-Chairma...airman+mao

6. Sorel's Reflections on Violence - advocates for violent class warfare: http://www.amazon.com/Reflections-Violen...n+violence

But yeah, Roosh's books on how to improve yourself as a man and hopefully have a better sex life with prettier girls are the ones that should get banned.

Could there be a more naked and agenda-driven campaign to deprive a man of part of his livelihood simply because he says things SJWs don't agree with?

Leaving aside the rather more colourful entries on Amazon's shelves which might be said to be philosophical, why don't we now look at the issue of how the clickturbating masses are up in arms about the books supposedly being a "guide to rape" and "containing confessions of rape", i.e. seduction guides, instructions on how to manipulate others, and confessional accounts of committing crime.

Also in this category, available from Amazon:

History of My Life, by Giancomo Casanova.

If I Did It, by O.J. Simpson.

The Confessions of Saint Augustine, by, well, St. Augustine.

How I Robbed the Racketeers For Years And Got Away With It
, John L. James.

The Wolf of Wall Street, Jordan Belfort - hey, didn't someone make a movie out of this?

How to Win Friends and Influence People, Dale Carnegie, horribly overbearing the wills of women for sixty years.

Chopper, as in, the autobiography of Mark "Chopper" Read, underworld enforcer and serial killer's life story. He wrote five of these books.

It's the principle that we got to fight for.

Denying Roosh web hosting is not really a feasible strategy. For one thing, I doubt these phaglets have the technical nous to even figure out which webhost Roosh would be using. For another, there are plenty of cheap, hole-in-the-wall Russia based hosting providers. Good luck to the SJW freaks trying to get Russian hackers/mob to give up cold hard $$$ for the sake of "stopping misogyny."

If worse comes to worse, Roosh can always purchase a <$1000 server off of Ebay (or even use a regular desktop machine), install Apache, and host it himself. There is really jack-shit these leftist punks can do. Roosh is famous enough at this point not to need Amazon's platform to get attention for his books, in no so small measure thanks to those very same malformed alphabet-soup queers that are now trying to ban them. It bears repeating:

Ah, Bang, what a great book. This thread made me wonder what happened to my review, it used to be top voted but the haters were jealous they roman downvoted either through fake accounts or just lots of bitter betas:

I am still proud of being one of the first on the Roosh band wagon. I have a knack of spotting something good long before anyone else does.

Also, I cannot believe Vincent's book was banned off Amazon. What a crock of bullshit. I hope Bang will not suffer the same fate.

Yes off course they're hypocrites.

These useful idiots care nothing for intellectual honesty or consistency.

My hope is that Amazon deems Roosh's work to be sufficiently innocuous and profitable to ignore the SJW uproar.

Plus, after a few weeks of whining they'll forget all about Roosh, and continue to order things from Amazon.ca like good little consumers.

None of the SJWs have the balls to actually boycott Amazon for stocking Bang, they just want to cry about it and berate Amazon on Twitter in an attempt to get what they want, just like a little girl tugging at daddy's pant leg.

When he doesn't give in, they'll pout and seek out the next outrage du jour.

LOL. Of course it's not censorship. Censorship implies selectivity and editing. This is a digital form of good old-fashioned book-burning.

Ain't just a resort to Godwin's Law, either. Had it been around at the time, copies of BANG if not Roosh's entire catalogue would have wound up on the Nazi book pyres. Per Wikipedia, a specific category of banned books under the regime was: "Writings on sexuality and sexual education which serve the egocentric pleasure of the individual and thus, completely destroy the principles of race and Volk (Hirschfeld)."

This reminds me of a quote from The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich by William L. Shirer:

Quote:Quote:

On the evening of May 10, 1933, some four and a half months after Hitler became Chancellor, there occurred in Berlin a scene which had not been witnessed in the Western world since the late Middle Ages. At about midnight a torchlight parade of thousands of students ended at a square on Unter den Linden opposite the University of Berlin. Torches were put to a huge pile of books that had been gathered there, and as the flames enveloped them more books were thrown on the fire until some twenty thousand had been consumed. Similar scenes took place in several other cities. The book burning had begun.

I would not be surprised if these groups organized a burning of "offensive" books.
