Best way to break a cold streak?

This was inevitable, I guess... I was juggling two girls, and as usual, tried to add another one, which ended with me losing one, but brought in a new one. Then all of a sudden it was "time to go back to my boyfriend that gives a shit about me" time, and I was down to one. Then, suddenly, that candle burnt out, and I was back at square one.

I figured it'd be easy enough to start rolling again, yet apparently something is off. So, to all my veteran playa's I gotta ask, what is the best way to avoid a lengthy cold streak?

I hate to admit it, but in my heart, I know I'm on the verge of one now, and I don't want to just fuck a fat bitch to keep momentum, cuz that's against everything I stand for.

For me, this is a multi-layer process.

1. Mine the old contacts.
You have to assume that, at any given moment, some girl(s) in your phonebook are going to be DTF. This is why, unlike many of the players on the board, I don't delete girls' numbers right away. I save them for just this sort of situation. Unless a girl's been a total bitch or had a baby, she's staying in the contacts until I've taken a couple of swings at the piñata. It doesn't happen often, but you can sometimes reanimate a corpse. I send a mass text to a few prospects with a clever or intriguing message and see who's biting.

2. Hit the old reliable spots and "demographics."
We all have some venues where our numbers are better than others. I make it a point to hit those places ASAP. There also are certain "types" of girls that I do better with, no question. They require less work and I just seem to "do it" for them. These demographics aren't always what I'm looking for, but during a dry spell, I go to the places in the city I know I can find them.

3. Turn up the temperature on my sociability.
I start conversations with everyone: the guy at the bus stop, the mail lady, the old man that sweeps the street. This puts a high polish on my dialogging and puts me in the social mood. So, when I run into a good prospect, I'm more apt to be extra bold and deliver solid game, without seeming desperate. Plus, approaches snowball on each other. The more I talk to people, the more I talk to girls.

Whatever you do, don't get desperate. I've been down that road before and it's tough to get out of. I was putting unnecessary pressure on myself and girls could tell I was trying too hard. Just chill and keep doing what you're doing. You'll be fine.

Roosh's "Sex is Mathematics" post gives a great perspective on this. A lot of what goes into a cold streak is just random variability in the number of approaches you make in between successes. There can be influence from your approach volume decreasing or putting out a desperate vibe, but beyond these two factors there's not really much you can do to "end" a cold streak any more than you can do anything to guarantee that any particular approach will result in a notch.

In fact, the best thing you can do might be to realize that a lot of it is out of your control. That way, you avoid negative thoughts that fuck with your vibe and you can consciously approach more in order to hit your "fuck number" sooner.

Good advice. I needed to reflect on this a bit, and I've noted two key changes:

1. I've been going out almost exclusively during the week. Weekends have had a variety of other things going on lately.
2. I've just been going for SNLs.

Time to put in more work in all aspects, and hope the ship rights itself.

If #3 is the only one that I can realistically pull off right now, (I recently moved to a new part of the city and short on CASH) what are some other suggestions? Getting out of a slump can seem like a really intimidating task when you're in the middle of it and unmotivated because you feel like your future attempts will end up like your recent failures.

Can someone give a good definition of what a "desperate vibe" would look like from the outside? I don't think I have this problem but it may be more subtle that I think.

Choke the chicken. There is no way for a man to have a cold streak unless his upper body is paralyzed.

I've haven't been laid in nearly four months after I split with the ex. Big departure for me in lots of ways. Unemployed, broke, new location, shitty logistics, etc.

The one thing that will get me laid eventually (think positive) is casting a wider net. I have a drinks date lined up for Friday night but it will involve travelling down to London.

And lying about my job status as well [Image: lol.gif]

Choking the chicken is a quick fix if you're horny, but it doesn't sate your need for actual pussy. It's a shitty predicament to be in - knowing you need to go hunt, but having no desire to do so because of the sub-standard, self-provided sexual release.

The last time I had a cold streak, I ended it by swearing off self-pleasure. Deleted everything, used a browser add-on to block every site I could remember. It worked. It may not work for everyone, but cutting off all options for release besides ending the cold streak did wonders for my motivation. Setting up the blockers ahead of time in such a way that they cannot be easily removed is critical, though.

I would get hammered for a happy hour or late night stop-in at 11 or 12 on a weeknight, sweep my pride away and take the fattie or ugpiece away before anybody notices. Should be pretty simple and you can leave immediately after. Or just keep slugging away at averages since you have issues with lowering your standards. Jump on the grenade. You can laugh about it the next day. No big deal.

God last May sucked, thanks a lot for bumping this and reminding me of that Vitriol. [Image: lol.gif]

Fortunately, things are better now, although I still haven't had the time to put into day game to see the results I know I can get there. Damn work.

Shoulders hunched forward. Head tilted down. The classic "compressed ball" shape.
Fast, jerky body movements.
Talking too fast. Blurting things out until you run out of breath and then gulping more air.
Spastic, uneven speaking volume.
Twitchy eyes that don't hold contact with others. Flicking away when a woman looks at you instead casually returning her glance for 1 second, smiling, then casually looking on to the next thing that interests you.
Fast pivoting of head as looking around. Not using peripheral vision.
Sweating from nervousness. (Sweating from exertion is always okay)
Fidgeting.
Fidgeting with cell phone or other prop.
Humming, licking lips, or other nervous habit.

Usually accompanied by not all the elements of a full facial expression of sadness, fear or anger, but veiled and only showing say 2 of the 5 facial gestures associated with these emotions like furrowed brows of anger, upper eyelids too high in fear, and sometimes in a mix of the sub-expressions. etc. http://www.amazon.com/Unmasking-Face-Rec...883536367/

Use your cell phone. Record yourself on video. Watch it back. Try to fix one thing you don't like. Repeat.

"Alpha children wear grey. They work much harder than we do, because they're so frightfully clever. I'm awfully glad I'm a Beta, because I don't work so hard. And then we are much better than the Gammas and Deltas. Gammas are stupid. They all wear green, and Delta children wear khaki. Oh no, I don't want to play with Delta children. And Epsilons are still worse. They're too stupid to be able to read or write. Besides they wear black, which is such a beastly color. I'm so glad I'm a Beta."

You should share how you got out of it for the other cats on here.

This is pretty damn good, Blackhawk. Especially this: "Flicking away when a woman looks at you instead casually returning her glance for 1 second, smiling, then casually looking on to the next thing that interests you."

Are you sure you aren't a coach?

You don't have to fuck a fattie, but you definitely need a slumpbuster. Find someone reasonably cute, but substandard and BUST A NUT.

I have always had my best success when I am already getting some. And for that reason I have never had a problem seeking "professional" help to get me out of a cold streak. I am more chill and layed back and have an easier time striking up a conversation with a new chick when I am getting it on a regular basis. But, for many that isn't an aceptable soluction.
