The Truth About Clubs in Vegas

Fisto,

Great post. It essentially brought me out of retirement--at least for a little bit. Distant Light, I'm a big fan, but I just don't remember seeing you on this board. Although, I'm admittedly rusty. After my last trip, I've decided at least when I'm alone to use online tickets, pre-bought and printed before I leave to enter Vegas nightclubs. As long as you're dressed and get there when the club opens, you're essentially just waved through and mixed with all the other entrants. I used to do a trick where I would go to a non-ratio club, meet some ladies, and go with them or other women I'd meet to the better clubs over the course of the next few nights. Sort of pyramiding things.

Not having Distant Light's connections, I just wanna say no matter what they are doing with you tonight, most 9s or 10s who are totally into you at the moment may not be so willing to meet up with you the next day. At best, you may be lucky enough to tag on to their pack or pull one away for entry. And believe it or not, some of them may even want you for a boyfriend and try to keep you out of the clubs, taking them on dates. Your best bet is tourists. I attempt to make social circles, but they tend to dissipate days after I leave the city. This can essentially wreck a prime night of a trip, and I find a situation like that unacceptable when easily remedied.

I’m totally intrigued by Intrigue—the new Studio 54 or Vegas’s Viper Room, but I doubt I’ll ever get in. Truth be told, I doubt I’m even cool enough to get in a club in NYC.

Fisto & Veloce, Vegas is great, I go there for clubbing, foodying, fitness, ma training, and even thrift shopping. They say the hardest part is finding the right neighborhood. I hoped to move there, but I never found myself in the position to intelligently make a plunge. I may buy a property and rent it to a UNLV student during the year and stay there during the off-time. (I’m in education.)

Fisto & Beirut,

In reference to the locked post: the clubs have no obligation to let you in on pre-purchased tickets if the club has reached capacity—that’s why you have to show up early. This is according to my late promoter—the guy who used to hand me screwdrivers and egg me on with busloads of female Australian tourists.

Veloce, love the spiel about eating at capriottis and then going to high-end tapas for club entry! Makes out for a great night!

Anti-trace, I know security who have made bank for years by allowing people to bribe their way in with no line.

True. When you buy tickets online, there is usually, if not always, a statement that you have to arrive by a certain time. I've seen the time for pool parties set at 12 noon, which can be really tough if you were out the night before.

Marquee day club was horrible the one time I went there. Bad ratios and vibe even with DJ vice there who is my favorite overall.

Wet Republic has gone downhill the past few years but I'd go there 99 times out of 100 versus Marquee.

Jesus Christ it sounds like a pain in the ass just to get into a vegas club, listen to shit music, and pick up a random hoe. Effort v reward is almost a vertical line lol.

It really isn't if you know what to do, hence this thread.

So is it safe to say that Encore Beach Club is the best day venue, then Wet Republic, then don't even bother with anywhere else?

Yes. I'd rather hang at my hotel pool than other pool parties.

I have never been to Wet Republic on a Friday. I know sometimes they have a bikini contest called the HOT 100 on Fridays though. It probably isn't a bad choice, if EBC is slow, its probably pretty empty.

I doubt the crowd will be as rough as it is on a hot summer Saturday/Sunday. Probably more tourists and locals than weekend warriors.

Do clubs which have both an indoor and outdoor part (XS, Surrender, Marquee, Omnia) open the outdoor part from November to February?

I can't speak for November, but that was the case (open outdoor patio) in late October.

Have been in Vegas a few times for work. First time during early Sept. The 2nd/3rd time for work via late Sept & late October when the party pools were closed.

Had a much better time when the weather was cooler. Definitely more IOIs and much less bitch shields.

I remember the Captain Power (banned) going to Vegas one time in a August as most of the women had shorter attention spans & were more aloof spending too much time drinking by pools with friends during the day resulting in empty clubs at night. I can honestly say that was the experience I had in Vegas my first time.

Being able to wear a suit or blazer indoors AND outdoors in the cooler seasons kicks ass. There's also less aggressive dudes when the weather is nicer though the chicks seem to really bottle up their socializing until the evening hits. That suits me better for sure.
